    Track theme ideas

Now everyone know that having a track theme is pretty important, even redlynx said so in one of their tutorials. So I thought I'd make a thread where people can give track theme ideas ( Hopefully some good builders will give some ideas). This might help me and other not so experienced builders become better So tell me people; any track theme ideas?

well not gonna tell you any ideas i have for myself but something for beginner builders to focus on would be things like, anything industrial - warehouse, scrapyard, sewer system, power plant, construction, factory etc, could also try things like outdoors - mounting climb, desert trek, winter time, jungle/forest, and when you have tried all the everyday life themes then try getting creative to come up with your own things, use movies, games, pictures/artwork etc for inspiration

    Re: Track theme ideas

I actually made a list of track theme ideas before Evo was released. They've all pretty much been done to death so I never felt compelled to use them. I don't really like creating something unless it hasn't been done or there's room for improvement.

Anyway, I have one that I don't think I've seen...

Track starts off in wilderness, then you get abducted by an alien spaceship. So that's half wilderness, half spaceship.

It can also depend on what style of decoration you like the most, I myself like to make a semi-realistic looking place and giving it twists and particular details and playing with lights and shadows to give it a bit of depth, while for example people like Spargokuroth can make a bealivable enviroment that is not realistic at all, but still managing to look really good, or builders like o SKUMBAG o, Murdoc, HEET, Synapsis, Movement81 and Loot Monkey that put insane amounts of little details in their tracks. Once you find something that suits you it will be easier to come up with an idea. I used to struggle a lot at coming up with something before i found my confort zone.

Relax and build for fun...see where it goes. You might find yourself obsessing ove tiny details and crafting a deep and realistic track....or maybe not. One thing is for sure, the line needs at least as much attention as the theme....because if your line is weak people wont stick around to see the rest of it anyway lol.

Good luck.....as people have said already many themes have been driven into the ground now and it can be tricky to come up with original ideas. One I had was a shipwreck where you are being chased by a shark...you would see the fin above water and have to ride fast....I tried it but floating obstacles recreating a decent shipwreck were a bloody pain to ride.
