    Steam - Uplay Interconnectivity

I've already pre-ordered the game on U-Play, whereas I know for a fact a couple of my friends are going to be getting it on steam, will this cause problems?
I'm just thinking because, on the same digital platform, it would probably be a case of inviting one of your friends or simply selecting "Join game" over the friends system, so I put to you:
Will there be an in-game friends system? Or will it be a case of hosting a game publicly, and hoping your friends can join it before you get swamped by strangers? I would obviously prefer the former, and am just wondering what the situation is.

Don't worry. Starting the game through Steam is just an extra, after that you will all be in the same boat, which is Uplay.

Hmm, but would you be able to access both? I've heard that U-Play runs in the background, but would that provide access to your U-Play friends? I suppose you can always put non-steam games onto steam, which might work.

Yeah, you have access to the Uplay client when running the game. Rewards, achievements, friends, all are there.

Also, if you bought it through UPlay or some retailer other than Steam, you can still add it to your library as a non-Steam game to access both Steam and UPlay while in-game.
