well i hope there simple ......
I came accross one of SmEgHeAd89 vids on utube mortal kombat https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v...4&feature=fvwp and was wondering how he built the mortal kombat sign at the start, in fact how do most peep build some of the themed items that are not avalible in the game?
Also i think i seen it mentioned b4 but can find the post, but im pretty sure i saw somebody mention that you can snap objects together thus removing overlaying objects and the horrible lines u get ( like in my track "wanna get higher")
smeg probably used the primes and some artist skills to make the symbol.
I have a snap tutorial on my youtube, can't access at work now for a link but click below in my sig and its in the tutorial playlist.
The mortal kombat sign looks like a shadow to me. Hence, no z-fighting or anything.
Jarrett can direct you to his snap tutorial and that should explain it.![]()
here is a link that i found helpful

barry, if it is a shadow, then thats a diff story.
You'd had to build the symbol off the drive line and shine a light so it makes the shadow.

Yeah, thats what I reckon it is. A static light (the round one) with a perfect radius for the symbol shining onto the floor to make the shadow. I cant see how else to make that without it being bumpy, flashing, etc. Also means anything can be used without needing a colour variation. However it was done, it looks damn good! lolOriginally Posted by Jarr3tt88
In that case thanks allot jar3tt88 it is 1 simple thing i learned that makes a huge difference to the look of a track. Excellent videos. I would recommend these vids to any one that builds tracks . Looking back at most of my tracks i wish i knew about snapping sooner.
