Love your stuff as I think you know. Have to say stony point would have been acceptable from some people but by the standardsyour other tracks have set, it was obvious to me that you had to rush for the deadline. Which is good an bad I guess, it wasnt a great track but shows what a high standard you have set when people comment on it being a lesser track despite being ok! lol
Not sure what my fav is tbh. I like stuff in each track. The polar bears, MK symbol, wild wild trials look and atmosphere, every track has something I like, so its hard to pick one out. But I'd probably go for dead town, purely because I think its the best easy track on TC and I really like that track!
So many treats-I would go with Wild Wild Trials (the line, the silhouette style) and Toxic Zone (nice techy line with superb background detail) despite you beating me on the latter.Originally Posted by BarrybarflyHow did I let that happen.

YaY! Smegman made a thread![]()
What can I add that hasn't been said already? You have the track building equivalent of the Midas touch. Keep on building!
p.s Funny Barry should mention Dead Town, not the first time Ive heard someone say they adore that particular track.
dead town is one of the best tracks on T.C. the lightning strike was either a flook, or genius..looked so perfect..
glad youve got this going mate..many a time ive searched for your thread, and obviously not found it...nice one mate..
haha was no fluke mate and doesnt take long to create, my next track has much much better lightning in it which does take some concentration and an artistic eye, it is my favorite part of the track im making at the moOriginally Posted by Morfyboy![]()

its so easy and obvious that you willOriginally Posted by Morfyboylol,
basically in Dead town all i did was simply line up a bunch of the small arcs all next to each other in a lightning strike shape that i was happy with, then i just turned them all invisible and had a trigger to turn them all visible when i rode past, simples![]()
when my next track is shared i will explain how i have done this new much more detailed lightning which looks frickin awesome and i think it uses less complexity then the 1st lightning![]()
I thought it was set up using impulses, and just adding ticks to each arc..cheers smeg..
nah i dont know how to do stuff like that mateOriginally Posted by Morfyboy, you could also have a bunch of triggers off the driving line all 1 above the next and have an invisible object waiting at the top then when you drive through a trigger on the dl that activates that objects physics to fall through all the triggers and each 1 could be set to each individual arc (with effect events), this way each arc will come on 1 immediately after the other and look more realistic, this is something i have used with 1 of the sets of lightening in my new track but not with arcs
Stony Point - That is one freaking hard line! Great track.
