if you have to do an obstacle that requires the whole bike to be above the riders head, then its not a ninja obstacle. simple as that.
I could just be crazy, but do you always make a thread on ninja tracks whenever you just released one?
nah just random. i'm more active on here when i'm in the mood.
full on gimmick tracks are very annoying, they are like don't move tracks which require you to actually move and place top 100 pretty easily because of obvious reasons. (WOOO THAT TRACK WAS RATED NINJA... AND I PASSED IT!!! WOOOO!!!! I'M ON THE LEADERBOARDS WOOOO... 5star for sure!!!).
I will say though. ninja tracks with gimmicks that require finesse and skill to do an obstacle are good.
Ok dj, your tracks are amazing and you're a great part of the community. But I am absolutely sick of people whining about gimmicky obstacles. Who cares.. As long as they're fun it doesn't matter. And if it's harder than extreme it's ninja. Nuff said.
When I hear the phrase "ninja difficulty", I think of this.
...and then I cry myself to sleep.
I don't mind gimmicks as long as they're well made.
lol the thread wasn't really supposed to be about actual gimmicks but more about what is official(harder than extreme) and what is an imitation (pirate, gymnast). my 1st post was really to give a stubborn view on what isn't ninja and view responses. having to do a fender hook 3 times to reach the next checkpoint isn't very creative nor fun to me. i ask people all the time on xbox what ninja is. i can safely say its not viewed the same way it used to be.Originally Posted by ClutchMystaFlex
going up ramps on your back wheel, fender hooking. there just techniques you learn just like bunny hopping, when you've learnt it you know how to do it. so when someone makes a track with those techniques needed, you already know what to do. no "ninja" skill involved.
anyways. i think its hard to understand how people are actually acting from typing, just thought id see what responses came up about my 1st post. couldn't really give a **** though lol. i just type babble haha.
yeah, I hate when people think like that.Originally Posted by 2witchy

im not a ninja rider. tbh. i dont think im good enough atm. its purely because i dont play enough to get to that level. but, from what i gather/have seen/consider logical, isnt a ninja track simply the next step up from extreme. requires mad skills and is rather hard. but, is in the same style of the rest of trials. with normal "realistic" skills they can be done. soon as you have to backwheel up a hill or fender hook or rail ride while upside down, it becomes a diff style of track. the best terms i have seen are gimmick or "pirate". i will give genuine ninjas a go, i like the challange, but soon as a gimick trick shows up, its deleted off my drive. its not what I consider fun or tbh, trials riding. they have there place in the community of course but i think the tag ninja is thrown in there sometimes for the wrong reasons. in part due to a missunderstanding of what the tag entails, and in part, just to get hits on TC.the question is, when does an extreme become a ninja. and i have seen terms like ninja l1 and ninja l2 up to ninja l5. what are the criteria for these labels and who decides on these labels. it would be good if say the building guys that the community recognise, got together, and decided on the "rules". otherwise this disscussion will just keep coming back.
