Expect the standard offer with the three costumes/rims from Steam, as it is with most digital versions out there. And maybe some TF2 item.

EDIT: Tbh, i'm not interested in those 3 costumes, the Sam Fisher's and whatever the last one is. Early beta access is the thing that ticks me and it seems to be available from almost anywhere you purchase.
Great, now I gotta find someway to buy it on Uplay instead!

I wouldn't worry, but you can contact their support to be sure.

Btw, you got some receipt from paypal or anything else? Does it mention the product you bought there?
Well I've got the order number, not sure about a receipt. And thanks for the reassurance! I was pretty worried that somewhere along the line I had bought the wrong game :3

Wow. Just read some stuff about the Uplay store. I would buy it from another source if I were you guys.

You have 30 days to download the game after purchase, Then say you format after that amount of time you then have to pay another £6.99 for it? What a joke.

    http://www.gog.com/forum/general/upl..._a_month/page1

"The purchases that you make through the Ubishop online store has a one month download period. If you have exceeded that month you will need to purchase either an Extended Download Service or a Backup Disk."

What is the Extended Download Service (EDS)?
EDS essentially allows you to download your purchase again for up to two (2) years - So if you buy the EDS that's not even permanent either.

Re: Preorder+Exclusive access to the Beta

Hooray for no refunds for digital downloads on Uplay, regardless of their Uplay system making the game effectively defective (have a month to download it?), so I can't even ditch it to go back to Steam for this game! This restriction on download times can't even be legal. Why, oh why, did RedLynx have to be bought out by Ubisoft of all people? I told you all Uplay would be a problem.

Anyway, this is the last time I listen to Deano's suggestions as to where I buy a game from.

Seriously? If this is true, screw the beta - there is no way I'm getting TE:GE on Uplay.

I believe it's a slight misunderstanding. Still sucks, but less frightening that it sounds. You get a download link when purchasing something, from where you can download the installation files. That link has an expiration date. If you download the game and activate it, it's available in your uplay games list and ready for download/play whenever you want. You just can't download the installation files from the initial source. But you can do it directly through uplay, so it's not that big of a deal.

Btw, all my uplay games are ok and available for download even after 2 years of purchasing, but they are boxed editions or bought elsewhere, just activated there afterwards. If such restriction exists for direct purchases through uplay, that's just stupid, but i doubt it.

Trust Ubisoft to make something as simple as buying a game a sodding confusing matter, why even mention the extended download service if I don't have download restrictions unless they were hoping they could trick me into paying £7 for something I wouldn't need and couldn't use for that game anyway?
