Does it really have to take so long and do it every time you load Trials up? Anyone else getting this once they load Trials? It checks for DLC for about 1-2mins before allowing you to actually play?!
Yes it does, sadly, and there is nothing you, me or redlynx can do about it.Originally Posted by DJSmurf2012
every dlc it gets worse ... sometimes i load a track in tc and i can hit the first checkpoint before the bike or objects appear fully .you would think it would run like silk of the hard drive
Surely it should only need to check once? or have a quick search through a HDD? I mean, im currently playing Fallout 3 (for like the 30th time haha) with all the DLC, upon loading the game, it takes roughly 5 seconds for it to find the additional content....
I get the same prob (timed it - n its a approx 1min-1:30) but have been advised by my mate that she doesnt have to wait as long as me about 30ses, so its different for everyone.
You can try to stop this by installing the game and the DLC to a USB drive, keeping the files alltogether ( when on HD the game + DLC is stored to many differenct sectors which takes the xbox extra time to find ( cant defrag xbox)
The texture popping generally happens when the xbox is 1st turned on for a couple of lvls, then it normally sorts itself out (unless ure online, the its random n all over the place?) It mainly happed when ure xbox is over running itself ( the fans going mental ), so try to keep it ventilated and if poss near a flow of cool air ( a open window )
ill try the usb .. i have one plugged in doing nothing ... nothing to looseOriginally Posted by GreenCandy![]()
Yeah that seems excessively long. It takes about 30 seconds to load all DLC when I start the game (up from about 20 seconds with just the first DLC), and I haven't really noticed any differences in texture loading times.
How old/what type is your xbox, Smurf?
It takes me like 30 seconds...
Its near brand-new... i'd say around 7-8months old slimline 250gb Xbox... still got over 100gb on the HDD free so its not clogged up with anything to cause any loading problems as such... Ive not had any real issues with Texture loading times apart from when i go to make a track...Originally Posted by Culb420
100 free... Which means it's got over 100 on it.. Which means when Trials has to search for the DLC it has to look through ALL those other folders.Originally Posted by DJSmurf2012
