Urban is fun, but still nothing like Trials. Ive played the first few sets but yet to have to unlock the better bikes. If anyone else plays Urban, ADD ME MOFOS.
I got a PS3, bought this game.. finished it in a few hours.. no track editor.. and I wouldn't say its anywhere simular to Trials Evo.. I wouldn't have bothered but at the time I didn't have an xBox.. The PS3 game ultimately made me go get an xBox just so I could play TE..
You guys should remake the urban trials tracks in evo, to say "yeah, urban trials, now you don't have anything that evo doesn't".![]()
You probably could, if you're strictly speaking about the driving line.Originally Posted by Stllbreathnbuty
The one thing I like in Urban Trials is the more natural acting environment with city traffic or stuff like for example helicopters and excavators moving around in the background, reacting to you or even creating obstacles in your way (in case of a dump truck I saw in a video).
Also lots of different looking people running around, sometimes reacting to you speeding by.
The models for it look nice too, whereas in Trials creating anything other than e.g. the integrated plane- or car-models in the editor is more of a hack job, especially humans.
I even saw a dude kicking a burning barrel down a parking lot ramp at the rider.
However implementing all that in a user friendly editor sounds like a PITA.
It seems more like as if someone cut out a part of an open world game and added lots of scripted events+bike physics.
Besides that, seeing as many obstacles are physics based (or should I rather say "dynamic"), recreating that from scratch in Trials would be a big undertaking for a track creator.
Doesn't help the main problem though: bike physics just aren't as good and no editor available.
