Im asking this as what happened is so random i dont know if it was a fluke/random bit of fate or if what i did caused the Issue?

This i my PC > http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/len...-34495935.html
This is my Gcard > http://test.appinformatica.com/tarje...mi-dvi-vga.php (click 4 large image)

The only difference to the original setup is 8GB Ram installed, 250gb HD, ATI Radeon HD 5450(SFF Bracket fitted) & a Realtek wireless NIC.

What happened is, i was originally running this system via a DVI to VGA converter from the back or the GCard to the Monitor. I Aquired a DVI-D lead and thought i may aswell use that, so swapped the leads around, rebooted the system and it all worked ok, no drivers seemed to d/l or install upon bootup, I spent the rest of the evening as per usual surfing the net, playing games and listening to music.

Come the morning i switch the Pc back on and the monitor is telling me that there is no signal? Noting the only thing i changed was the Video lead, i power down, swap the leads back to route via the VGA convertor and i get a signal to the monitor but its telling me that it cannot boot windows

So i do the usual and try a repair, didnt work .... I couldnt do a restore as i never back up and i found myself having to re-install win 7

Has anybody else ever had a problem like this? It defies logic for me that a lead could cause drive to crash or mess up the MBR, or was it just a unlucky day for me?

Ive run tests on the HD and they all come back saying its fine. I Do know that ATI say that u need a 400w power supply to run this GCard but i did do extensive homework b4 i purchased this card and there are countless websites that advise that my power supply will run this card (as it has for the last 2 years without a prob?) Does using purley a DVI-D lead up the voltage req to run the card??

Also my friend runs pretty much the same setup as me (slightly faster processor n larger HD), but uses the DVI connection without a prob?

I would prefer to use the DVI-D lead that i have got, but am afraid of re-connecting it as i dont want to re-install again, so any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated
