I was in this film production once and while we were waiting for the lighting department to install the lights we started to come up with some code names for ourselves. Code names for the walkie talkies so it would be fun to see everyone trying to remember their own code name. It had to be a animal though so I picked Honeybadger. I was the assistant director so honeybadger fitted me well, because all us meme users know; the honeybadger don't care.
BlueBadger seemed much more fun and original than just honeybadger. And blue is a soothing color and the name sounded like Blue Beetle from the DC comics as well. So I stayed with that.
Never heard of the HoneyBadger meme before.
