this is in regards to custom/user made tracks, i'm not sure if it happens on the official/default ones.
what's the deal with people PURPOSELY wrecking and then just flailing around their joystick to get the top time? how is that possible? how is that allowed to happen? i'm trying to get help on a custom track called "FL: Lost Future" right now and i just can't take it anymore. nearly every single time in the top 100 people are wrecking on purpose. i notice this a large majority of tracks. is there no way redlynx can fix/stop this? i just...i dunno. it really bothers me. not because i'm going to get the number 1 time, but because it's cheap. it's a lame way to get in the leaderboard and it hurts people like me who watch a lot of replays to get help on tracks.
The replay is broken. It happens on in game tracks as well. Happened on hd too. It won't be fixed. They are still legit runs. The rider has no control over it.
The replay shows that, but the movements are from them running the track correctly. Its just that some replays are broken and dont run properly.Originally Posted by coned![]()
People aren't wrecking and just flailing around. Sometimes replays just get corrupt. It happens more often on tracks with physics based obstacles.
You can watch the real run if you let the replay start over, but that takes about 30 minutes...![]()
i dunno, i dunno. every single replay i watched they are wrecking in the same place. and some are going backwards just to wreck in that spot. seems like too much of a coincidence. >_>
oh and! another thing...some of them have 0 faults on the leaderboard, but they wrecked. >_>
This is the replay being corrupt. It happens all the time. Those people are not cheating, I can assure you. Even though they wreck in the replay, they didn't actually fault.Originally Posted by coned
A moderator and the Community manager have told you that its not them cheating, simply a broken replay. You can trust us! Its been a problem for a long time, but the times and faults shown are accurate. Its just the "video" aspect that isn't displaying correctly.Originally Posted by coned![]()
Wow. Does this always work? Not that I'm gonna wait a half hour, but its good to know.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai
Yeah, I've heard that it fixes all broken replays, but there is no way I would wait for 30 minutes just to watch said replay.Originally Posted by Ikes
Nice! Me neither, but it could be helpful for someone wanting to capture a replay that is broken.
