    Justifying NINJA Levels in Evo.

    Alright, so i have seen people say they judge ninja levels by how many faults they get on first run and or how many time outs. for example
    Level 1: 20-40 faults
    Level 2: 40-100 faults
    Level 3: 250+ Maybe one time out
    Level 4: 2+ time outs and or Never pass.
    Level 5 : 10+ time outs.

    But it think this system is broken because i have actually played tracks in the past that are titled Level 1 and passed it with 0 faults first try. Or, i passed Tough Mudder (Level 4) First try. I think levels should be justified by the amount of people who pass it and the average amount of faults on the LB

    Thoughts guys? I'm open to any thoughts and opinions. Keep calm and ride on.

    If you are talking about Evo Ninja tracks, then those older tiers have nothing to do with Ninja tracks.

    Ninja tracks in Trials HD were tracks that were plain DIFFICULT because of the skill they required. Ninja tracks in Evo are difficult because people set you up on glitchy obstacles.

    given that not everyone is equally skilled, and not all attempts are equally as skillful or in fact lucky, rating the difficulty based on fault count or how many people passed it is pointless.
    its always gonna be a grey, subjective area... but the only way to at least cover some objective ground is to judge the individual sections in each track and compare them in terms of what techniques they require/ how much room for error there is/ how extended the obstacle is etc...

    This is completely untrue. You have just played horrible ninja tracks. I'm not saying that those types of tracks aren't out there but if you're a player like me who plays NINJA tracks and nothing else then you know how to avoid stuff like that and don't play them. NINJA = Harder than extreme and nothing more.

    Sorry to talk back to you but you're kind of hating on ninja tracks a little too much when you seem to have little knowledge of them.

    there is alot of truth to that. Thats for sure, but i wouldnt say that ninja tracks are luck. If they were luck you would see different people beat level 4 tracks everytime but thats not the case. It's always the same 3-6 people. Myself, TBNSoty, DannersMac, aBz xMaGiiK, Telarix, and Southsinger.

    Along with this, I feel like that there's a group of people whose names I recognize but wouldn't be able to list, who I see for level 3s. When I start seeing names I don't recognize the track is either hugely popular (Cough and Cringe type stuff) or it's probably easier than a 3.

    I'unno a lot of it is just feel, having played enough Ninja tracks that you can rank it relative to other things you've played. And obviously it's subjective, with people having different strengths/weaknesses and no two tracks having the exact same degree of difficulty, but I think the community generally agrees upon the level of things so it's reasonably accurate.

    I kind of use that system when i am searching the feeds for tracks. If I see an extreme track and the group of ninja riders I recognize are on there with 0 faults, while most people at least a handful more, it's probably a level 1-2, if even the top ninjas have 20+ faults, it's 3 or higher. Very generalized, but it helps me find the easier ninjas that I would be able to complete without getting full of rage.

    Real talk I saw that track on TBN's Youtube and went "well ****, this looks doable. Level 4, really?" and then gave up trying to nudge that first group of explosives.

    This was awhile ago, I should go give it a real shot.

    Yeah exactly, and since I just play for a challenge I usually skip over a track if I see enough 0 faults.

    If you know your ninjas the leaderboards can be a pretty decent barometer for the difficulty of the track.

    Because that is what most tracks tagged "Ninja" are. That doesn't make my statement even a little untrue, let alone completely.

    Avoiding the majority of tracks that use the Ninja tag means that you are in the minority of players who think that the "Ninja" tag means "Harder than extreme and nothing more". This also does not make my view (which is the one commonly held by Trials players) incorrect.

    Most tracks tagged "Ninja" in Trials Evolution's Track Central use gimmicky obstacles. = 100% Undeniable Fact. And nowhere did I say that I hate Ninja tracks.
