Owners of the PC version of the game are likely already aware of the dlls/mods available for the the game to do stuff like: modify internal rendering resolution, customise UI, unlock frame rate, add anti-aliasing, add Ambient occlusion, add custom textures etc etc etc
But thought I'd start a thread here in case some people were on the fence about the PC version of the game and were unaware you could dramatically improve the game experience through mods.
WARNING: Please be aware that DS:PtDE is a Games for Windows Live game and using any mods that alter the game files in anyway could get you banned from the service. Not all mods do this so read carefully and do your homework before you use any mod.
Below is a link to the blog of neogaf user durante who released one of the first mods for the game, just do a search for DSFix to find what you're looking for. As of now it's up to version 2.01 and likely to change by the time you read this. There's alot more than just this one, but you can use google to find those.

Please note, this mod does not modify the executable game code unless you choose to unlock the frame rate. And as with anything, do your homework, don't just take my word for it. If anyone needs a hand with any of this, feel free to pm me.
Below is a like the the Dark Souls nexus mods page:
http://darksouls.nexusmods.com/
It's a hub where almost every mod under the sun can be found.
I'll update this thread at some point with more useful info, just thought I'd post here while I was scouring the net for updates to mods I use.
Edit: Added url to tye Dark Souls nexus mods page.
I need a PC that can run the game![]()
Any mods that add music? Good, fitting music?
I havent looked into music mods, but Im sure if there are any (even in the future) they'll be on the Dark Souls nexus mods page. Ill modify my OP to include the link.
Graphics *****s. Too many PC gamers are Graphics *****s. Fair Enough DSFix but what about gameplay? Music or whatever? 95% of those mods are for graphics only it seems.Originally Posted by D2Dahaka

Type in best graphics mods into google and you get tons of results, type in best gameplay mods and you get nothing. Skyrim and oblivion and thats about it, not to mention the majority of the mods for those games are also graphical enhancements.
I wouldnt mind if there were simply less gameplay mods overall but there are just hardly any for most games, not including TCs or FMs anyway.
More moaning, suppose I better counter it with something positive:

Anyway I did find one music mod, but it was for boss fights only.
