    Same score test

Sorry, Arse, I don't want to mock you, just tried to test out whether or not I get ranked before you with the exact same score when I change my name. "H" comes before "T", but it doesn't work. So, I guess who comes first, scores first. Which makes sense

Ties are decided by whoever is higher overall in the overall rankings

Did you get confirmation of this from RedLynx devs? Or is this based on reviewing ties from various races? And are you saying that it's based on your Overall Global ranking on the day that the tie occurs? For example, what if I'm higher than you in the global rankings on Day 595 and we tie on that day, but then later on around Day 600, you pass me in the global rankings. Would I still be listed as a better ranking than you on the Day 595 daily leaderboard or would it retroactively update that listing to put you ahead?

And what happens if we were tied on the Global Overall leaderboard and then we tied on a daily run?

    Re: Same score test

Peachlover's statement is not correct, as I have witnessed examples that go against that, and put the lower globally ranked person on top of the tie.

After seeing many examples, and I think Rook agrees, that the most logical, and most probable, explanation for ties is that the game takes more decimals into account than are displayed, possibly an infinite amount or very very large amount.

    Example:

    The game displays that:
    Person A gets 16.225
    Person B gets 16.225

    In reality:
    Person A gets 16.2254789
    Person B gets 16.2254999

As a result, person A gets the top spot on the tie since they have a faster time.

If anyone can prove me wrong, feel free. I am fairly confident that this is the correct method though.

I agree with you 99% on this Dood....only part where I disagree.....and its an easy mistake. Person A would be the top stop b/c in actuality his time is FASTER b/c the timer reads a LESSER number.

I posted this in a couple other threads, but just to make sure you guys saw / remember it. Now, it's possible that you just don't believe/trust the RedLynx dev (AnttiKi), but just wanted to make sure that you knew that we at least got a specific response about this particular theory.

That was theory #1 in my list from that other thread (http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/viewt...hp?f=71&t=7134), but then one of the devs replied in that thread:

If I find enough free time and remember, I'll try to figure this thing out. Maybe some time next week.

Sorry guys! Through my 10+ ties it's always been the higher ranked overall that took the top spot, and here I thought I cracked the code...Canadian eh?
