Follow riders angular movement?
Howdy people! Im trying to get a glued group (a custom bike) to follow and copy the riders every movement... so when the rider leans back or forward the custom bike does the same at the same time while still following the rider. I dont want to use a physics joint since the custom bike will be out the bubble. I want the OPE to do the job so i tried angles XYZ as coordinates for bank yaw pitch & i used position XYZ for the OPE XYZ coordinates but the glued group decides to attack the rider after 3 seconds
. I first used a glue thingy set it to the lines axis then selected glue members to make sure the glued group moves the right way but no cigar...HELP!

Re: Follow riders angular movement?
hey DeadEXit,
this is a tough thing to get right, 1st things 1st, make sure global movement is on and Set Rotation is Checked, now the problem with the rider rotation is it has its own local system that doesn't match the world rotation axis, if you rotate your pivot to match this you should be fine, the easiest way is to set the Yaw with Angle X the Pitch to Angle Y and Bank to Angle Z, then rotate your pivot to match, its a pain to do but when its correct you should be good to go.
good luck with this.

Re: Follow riders angular movement?
cool, yeah the i can't rotate the pivot after selecting members thing is kind of annoying, however, if you select a new glue object, place it in the world with it set on custom at the rotation you want, and then reselect it, you can add members and it will stay in its rotation, even if you then choose mass or centre, also it was mentioned (cant remember who) that if you select all the members without the pivot, you can rotate them into place.

Yep! Choosing members without the pivot was much easier. I just wanted to add that after you select glue members the annoying pivot turning can be adjusted using an area selector. Just throwing it out there for those who are stuck with this issue. Thanks again dasraizer!
