    Plat time help

So...I've got this shortcut in my track and I have it at the moment so that the plat time is tight if you dont make the shortcut but if you do make the shortcut the plat time gets destroyed. I have made the shortcut and then waited for a second or 2 at the finish line and still got plat. The shortcut is semi difficult to pull off so I'm confused about if i should drop the plat time to suit the shortcut or just leaving it as it is. I want replayability but i dont wanna punish people with less skill

Most plats require you to use at least 1 or 2 shortcuts.

    Re: Plat time help

If anyone could offer me some advice before 12am GMT it would be greatly appreciated.

edit: I have a 2 day gold trial somewhere if someone with a bit of skill wants to see what I mean in. I will be on live in a couple of hours.

    Re: Plat time help

I would set the platinum according to the fastest route through the track, allowing for a slightly imperfect run. So, no tyres get caught, all shortcuts made, but not run absolutely perfectly. Mainly because you are quite a good rider, so if you timed it for an absolutely perfect run, it might be a bit too difficult for other players.

Try to work it so that your platinum time is:

your best run + "the normal amount you beat a SP plat by" = Platinum time for your track.

    If that makes sense.

You smashed it Barry, thanks for the advice. I was going to do this but I was unsure and went the complete opposite way. Nuff respect!
