You should change it to "If at first you dont succed........quit or cheat!"!
At the college I went to one of our mottos is "Aggies don't lie, cheat, or steal."
Well we modified that to "Aggies don't lie, cheat, or steal; we elaborate, collaborate, and borrow."
Cool idea man. If i get back online in time to make something worthwhile im in...but we just moved and are awaiting reconnection on our broadband so ill let u know later on if thats alright?
I dont think so tbh. Any track where the line, scenery and details is made using just 3 objects is highly likely to completely suck. So I doubt many builders will want to commit their time to making a bad track. Sorry. Anyway, thats just my opinion and maybe I'll be proved completely wrong! lol
The "3OL" tracks from a year or so ago weren't THAT bad!
Here's the winner:
I see long logs, short logs (variations), walls, barrels. I assumed 3 objects meant just 3 and wouldnt include variations. If its 3 objects, with multiple variations, then that a whole other story! For insatnce, broken walls with 15 (?) variations, logs with 8 variations and something else with a bunch of variations, plus unmlimited effects and lighting. Maybe then it will work. My misunderstanding!
Edit: Would a terrain mod be classed as an object or not? That has tons of variations that could be used and that are sizeable?
I can actually only spot 2 objects in the video: long round logs and short round logs. The barrels you are talking about are short logs, and I can't see any "walls".
As for terrain modifications, I think they should be allowed. Crowbeak allowed unlimited use of effects in his competition, and I can't think how you could add anything THAT impressive using only terrain mods. They'll be there just to make the track look a bit less plain.
Also, if the default world objects aren't included in your 3 chosen objects, I don't think you should be able to use them. Get creative with the 3 objects you picked and make some cool backgrounds!
