This is actually a very good idea.. I built a track with maybe 5 objects and I was satisfied with the result. My major problem when i want to build a track is to find objects who will fit with the theme and this can help a lot. I am definitely interested, it's a good challenge. Well it's not sure that I can come up with a good track but I will give it a try for sure.
Do you think you could announce the objects a few weeks at a time. I am not the fastest builder and I don't have much time so if I know the objects a few weeks in advance, I may be able to complete tracks.
Sure thing, but for the first round I would like to wait until the 10th out of respect for DJ's tournament ending on the 9th.
OK, I reformatted the contest so instead of a weekly thing its just a one-shot deal... with 2 weeks to build your entry and a guaranteed prize for the winner.
I think this way it will generate more interest.

i'll give it a go![]()
I dont think so tbh. Any track where the line, scenery and details is made using just 3 objects is highly likely to completely suck. So I doubt many builders will want to commit their time to making a bad track. Sorry. Anyway, thats just my opinion and maybe I'll be proved completely wrong! lol
The "3OL" tracks from a year or so ago weren't THAT bad!Originally Posted by Barrybarfly

I see long logs, short logs (variations), walls, barrels. I assumed 3 objects meant just 3 and wouldnt include variations. If its 3 objects, with multiple variations, then that a whole other story! For insatnce, broken walls with 15 (?) variations, logs with 8 variations and something else with a bunch of variations, plus unmlimited effects and lighting. Maybe then it will work. My misunderstanding!Originally Posted by Oski
Edit: Would a terrain mod be classed as an object or not? That has tons of variations that could be used and that are sizeable?
