Hey guys,
I'm new on the forum but certainly not new to Trials! Well this is my newest map, or whatever you would call it. It really doesn't have any objective other than creating music. The drum sequence is programmable up to 8 beats and I have built in an entire system that will let you play other sounds triggered by the controller. This sounds are even pitch adjusted to minor and major scales! You can connect 3 additional controllers and trigger sounds with those as well to compose some pretty cool music. Once you are done with your song you can hold X+Y to exit and save your replay (rating it in the process!). Give it a download and see what you think!
My gamertag is HickoryJones
What follows are controls for the map (there are a lot) and a crappy quality video I took from my iPhone![]()
R-stick push: start and stops the drum sequencer
L-bumper: enables a node in the drum sequence
R-bumper: disables a node in the drum sequence
Y: chooses next instrument
A / R-trigger: plays the chosen instrument
L-stick: moving this will select different nodes in the sequence and also adjust the pitch of the chosen instrument
R-stick: moving this up or down will change the tempo or BPM of the drum sequence
L-stick push: will inject a single beat into the signal chain of the sequencer (has some really interesting effects)
X / L-trigger: resets the pitch of the chosen instrument
X+Y: finishes the map and saves the replay of the song
EDIT: So I finally got all three friends of mine to play the map with me and it works with 4 players and is very fun BUT it doesn't save everyone's replay data ( 2nd 3rd and 4th controller) so unfortunately you can only hear player 1's instrument. I should have known it would do that but oh well! So anyways, make sure you get 3 friends with you when you play. Also the pitch of each controller's instrument or rather the scales they follow are:
1st: Major D ( I believe )
2nd: Minor D
3rd: Major D
4th: Minor D
In the next version I will let you change the key ( root note of the scale )! I also have to figure out the issue of having unique replays each run of the map so new songs can be heard each time because right now it is sorting by descending time.

This sounds pretty awesome. I'll have to check it out.
So much effort must have gone into that.
Wow!
Thanks! Yeah it was about 20 hours of some very tedious work. I love the editor in this game though so once I get my mind set I just can't break away! I hope the Trials guys like it too.
What did you think Shifty?![]()
Amazing!
I'm prepping for travel and haven't had the chance to sit down and check it out.![]()
Thanks! From watching the replays it looks like people think that you can change the sounds for each individual node but you can't. I could have added that in but who knows, maybe I will in V2. The whole instrument side aspect of the map is just to freely play notes a long with the drum sequence. Controllers 1 and 3 are pitched for a major pentatonic scale while 2 and 4 are minor. You can actually make some cool little jams if you use all 4 controllers!
I also released it as a Trials map stupidly thinking it might work over xbox live. Unfortunately it does not and now I wish I hadn't done it lol![]()
Did you ever get a chance to play it Shifty?
