You get barly anything in MP only a few hundred and since the helmets are either low-priced or the high-priced arn't even fully visible so i could care if there was double XP i would still ignore it.
I'm not really interested in leveling, but I still enjoy MP just for the game. What I'd like is a bit of cash reward. Grinding SP for cash isn't worth it.
I think they could learn a lot from some other game's multiplayer structures. Like previously mentioned, rewarding players for grinding is key. COD does this amazingly well. You always feel like you're working towards ranking up, unlocking a new weapon, completing a challenge, etc. These rewards are synchronized perfectly with subtle audiovisual cues such as the short guitar riff that plays when you level up in cod. The core addictiveness of Trials comes from beating your time and moving up the leader boards and in multiplayer it loses that so there really is no compelling reason to keep playing.
That being said, it definitely is a good base to build off for subsequent games. There's huge potential there if they can structure it correctly and play into their own strengths. If the guys were able to make the single player as addictive as it is, all they need is a little more time + budget to crack a winning formula for Trials multiplayer.
I don't play multiplayer for 2 reasons:
1) you barely get any XP
2) they never told us what the highest level is
I think double XP would be great! It would definitely get me playing multiplayer, but only if with the double XP they told us the max level. If I hear that it's something crazy like 100 or more, then I won't bother. I'm at I think 47 (haven't played in forever so I don't remember) and I get practically nothing right now. If it goes way past 50 (isn't there that one guy that's at like 52 or something?) then I won't bother.
Tell us the max level (if there is one) so I know what I'm working towards, then give double XP or more and I'm down!!!
Indeed the base for track central and multiplayer is in place. Now it needs to be fleshed out and polished. Little things like the clunky interfaces, lack of little touches like being able to create play-lists, have multiple libraries of tracks on the same storage device, be able to see more useful information when selecting tracks for local multiplayer...whats in place now is beta quality, I appreciate we have it, but it needs to get a whole lot better.Originally Posted by NonRedOrchid
Aside from all the usual problems i get when trying to play MP ...... I actually like it .... Having Dble Xp wont make me play it any more or less as i get my fun from trying to beat the other players.
Personally for me i`d like to see them change the amout of rounds there are in the different catagories as there all different .... Xcross u get 2 rounds but 4 races, Trials u get 3 and most annoyinly Hardcore mode u only get 2?
Sometimes when u play u only have to win the first round giving the rest of the field bugger all chance of catchin u up, which makes the rest of the round a bit boring as the challenge has effectivly gone, also this is probably y u get so many quitters .... if they have no chance of winning, then in reality whats the point of wasting ure time to see the inevitable result - 4th
Up the hardcore mode to 3 rounds please![]()
i have hit level 51, i took me forever and i still enjoy every second i play MP. they jest need to add some things to it. Double exp would be Nice
I like to kick it on Super cross every so often on the Donkey. I like it because I haven't memorised any of the tracks and i just want to have a bit of fun. On a funny note, its amazing the number of people Ive encountered who take it as an insult when I use the donkey...its like they think I'm being disrespectful of something as if i am as focussed on winning as they are.
One thing that needs addressing on super-cross is the way players potentially block your view in a tight race, its annoying crashing only because you couldn't see your bike...i don't like that element of super-cross.
I think I've seen you online a few times in MP?Originally Posted by Controlize
