If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to control where my rider goes as he crosses the finish line, i have him cross the line into some explosives and then when they explode i want the rider to fly through the air in a certain direction and land in a certain place, iv tried using area effectors but its not always consistent landing randomly in different places, is there a way to control exactly where the rider will land?
You could use an OPE to move him, but I've not tried it myself as it requires gluing stuff to the rider and wierd things tend to happen with it all for me.
The other option I can think of is that the explosion goes off and then you teleport the rider to the point you want. So it would explode and send the rider up in the air (maybe area effector), camera changes to the landing zone, teleport takes place off camera, rider drops into camera view and lands where you want it to.
Dont know if that helps tbh! lol
i dont know if this will work properly but dont see why it shouldnt, worth a try anyway.
You could try making walls around the rider with custom collisions to funnel him in the direction you want him to fly.
you should only need to place them where he first starts flying just to get him going in the direction you want and maybe at the end of his flight to again funnel him to where you want him to land.
i think this would be a relatively easy solution (no ope's/gluing stuff to rider etc) to your problem, if it works.
just a case of trial and error m8 to see what works best for you.
hope it helps.

You can try Directional Forces and or Area Effectors, that turn on after he passed the finish line, to push him into the generall direction you are trying to aim for.
thanks guys for your tips and suggestions, iv'e not used ope's before and dont rly know how they work so if all else fails then i guess i will have to learn and try that and as for the custom collisions funnel idea k2nph thats a great suggestion and seems to be what im trying to go for now. at first he seemed to bounce off the custom collisions and get stuck on them sometimes so i changed the friction to zero which helped but is not 100% effective yet, i also like the idea barry gave about using a teleport and camera change - if i cant quite get the collisions to work perfectly then i'll try this idea before learning ope's.
and JJ i didnt know about Directional Forcesi'll also look to see if i can find this and see how it works.
Thanks again guys![]()
use the last checkpoint to activate the area effect that you could use for the rider, and aim it to where you want him to go..also, a few custom collisions might aid you smeg to make it more acurate.
hang on..jj has already said this...just realised...![]()
Dont use the last cp. That results in the times being measured in ticks (0.016) instead of thousandths of a second (0.001). Use an area trigger after the cp to do it.Originally Posted by Morfyboy![]()
