time and time again ive seen amazing tracks get screwed up by one tiny thing.
and that culpit is plywood. it simply just does not work well with the bike physics.
dont use it on the driveline its annoying. oh and im not saying it doesnt work cause it does, just not 100% on the driveline most of the time.
custom collisions are the answer, use them every time with plywood just in case![]()
yeah agreed. topic change lol. people, use custom collisions on plywood
Any time I use plywood, I make sure to check the "fast object" box. It really seems to help, it helps on a few objects where you seem to get that front wheel stick on hard landings.
Really though, I think I have used playwood like 2 or 3 times tops.
Like Willy said, custom collisions works well too.
This, also Restitution to 100% can help.Originally Posted by jook13
custom collisions is one of the most unused objects i think that has tonnes of potential for its use..like on the pipes etc...ive only just recently used these, and they helped loads..i do try to not use plywood cos of all the negative comments from the top builders too...
yeah i rarely touch plywood. and yeah custom collisions do get overlooked quite a lot. ive started using them quite a fair bit in my recent tracks.
me too bro..so true wot you said...Originally Posted by 2witchy
Yep, always use custom collisions when there's a sharp angle, physics objects or primes. This helps with not only the part feeling smooth, but it also fixes the wheels seemingly sinking into the ground.Originally Posted by 2witchy
custom collision = the blue checker prism ?
i know that long round log or concrete pipe can jam wheel sometimes, but never notice strange thing whit the ply.
i use ply in 1-2 track and never ad bad comment about those piece.
what happen ?
wheel block ?
get in it ?
??
