    Re: Custom maps cross compatible?

I like the idea of it being selectable.. Where you can choose where it is PC spec or 360 spec when you save/start making a track

Well to be frank, map sharing/porting isn't really cross platform gaming in my eyes.

If need be, just allow the PC users to convert the 360 maps to the PC version and run them on a separate leaderboard. Then, if people wanna compare their E-peens they can just look at the times/faults of the two different boards and say they are "the best on the world" on that map.
In fact, i do agree that sharing a leaderboard between the two platforms is not going to work out because the PC will beat the XBOX in top performance and that will influence the map times.
Not to mention the XBOX and PC will most likely differ in their deterministic natures. That is, on one platform one quirk will be possible but on the other there will be other quirks to exploit.

At least RedLynx an Microsoft let us save the tracks on an USB and put it on the Xbox and share it there,
because I think on Xbox will be having greater ratings than on PC!

    Re: Custom maps cross compatible?

I would be AMAZED if Redlynx could get this game to behave exactly the same between Xbox and PC, but I'm sure they're more concerned with getting it optimized for PC and fixing some of the bugs from the 360 version (which would definitely break some of the existing tracks, and replays especially). I think the best we can hope for is a way to import our tracks from a flash drive. Actually PC to 360 would be even better, because I'll undoubtedly be switching to the PC editor when it becomes available. I'm afraid the majority of people wanting to play my tracks will still be on 360. It's going to be a tough decision to make.

The idea of being able to play the tracks made on pc is a very good one, because i can imagine the top notch track editors will fancy the pc editor over the xbox editor at least thats something i am afraid of.
