I have noticed when trying to use physics with the effect "fairy dust" from effects 2 dlc menu that it seems unaffected. It states physics-yes when highlighted but if I turn physics on for it, it doesn't drop with gravity when physics is enabled. I've noticed, its mass is 0kg, if I increase it, even slightly, it disappears when physics is enabled. It also freezes the right stick of my controller.
I'm guessing there's a problem here.
I need it to move via rotation joint if I get it moving.
Thanks in advance...
Cant you just rotate it with an OPE?
Possibly, I haven't tried ope's on it but I hate ope's for simple movements that a physics joint can easily do with less tiles.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly
OPE's cause less performance issues and should always be used for anything off of the driving line or anything that the rider wont contact. Its only 5 cards instead of 3, so its not that bad.Originally Posted by Cruelty976![]()
I'll try ope tomorrow then. I guess it works with effects?
Even so, the physics of the new effects needs addressing. I tried the singularity thing as an experiment and that failed too.
You can use an OPE on rain, dust and on portals. I dont see why fairy dust should be any different. *uses shrug emoticon that we need!*
I was playing around with Fairy Dust earlier today. Physics was fine, but it was part of a glue group.
Not alot of control allowed over it though; variations, disable colour fluctuation ect.
Alot of the DLC stuff is very buggy though so you may be having a different experience. Good thing the DLC was cheap.
Yay... it works surprisingly well with ope's. Cheers Barry. Although the problem with physics is still a problem. You've offered an alternative that I didn't like using but now I'm warming to it.![]()
Glad its sorted out mate.![]()
