Hi all. I'm looking to make a new track, a festive version of my real trials tracks for Christmas and i have the camera set on the cold lens and sand 5 on the ground. The bit I'm having trouble with is the falling snow. I've seen other tracks that do it (think it was Scandinavian summer)
Well I know it's the dust particles but keeping them falling and looking right is te problem so any help people can give will be appreciated.
Use the dust affect..set the paricles to your chosen colour..activate physics, and place them on your line but spread out..your physics bubble activates the physics n it falls..also,in the properties, set your gravity different so the dust falls slower..this means that the dust falls slower and stays falling for a good length of time.
Check out track its snow good by me,to see..
Or, use an area effector to force the dust down at the speed and angle of your choosing.![]()
Thanks ill try that and check Out your level. Never thought about stuff not falling until your near, I just thought it would all fall when the level started.
Yeah ..thats physics set on objects..O.P.E acts different like baz said..
I never mentioned OPE's, I said an area effector.Originally Posted by Morfyboy![]()
But, you can use an OPE to make one dust effect follow the rider.

I will make good use of the info in this thread as well for my next couple of tracks. thx
