Just a thread where people can talk about anything related to Black Ops 2.
My thoughts on the game so far -
Campaign - 8.5/10
I really enjoyed the campaign. They implemented a lot of cool new features like create a class. The story connected well with the previous game. There is a lot of action and suspense. I also love the fact that they allowed us to make choices. The two minor complaints I have are the multiple endings and strike force missions. The fact that there are multiple endings is awesome but I don't want to replay the campaign over and over to get different endings. Strike force is fun but it's a pain, but it is cool that they are optional.
Multiplayer - 8/10
I think this is the most balanced multiplayer in the CoD series. The new kill streak system that puts emphasis on playing the objective is awesome. I like how player prestiging and weopon prestiging is separate so I dont lose my weapon attachments and camos when I prestige. The fact that they tried to prevent camping with ghost not protecting you unless you are moving is cool but people still camp, but that's not really the games fault. The new game modes are fun. And in my opinion the best thing is the new pick 10 create a class system. It allows so much choice and variation. The things I don't like as in all CoD games is hit detection, lag, and some maps are bad.
Zombies - 9.75/10
TranZit mode is unreal fun to play with friends. The size of the map is insane. The amount of new features is amazing. The bank and fridge that carry over to future games are awesome. Trying to find the parts to build and see what they make is fun. The main Easter egg is huge and I don't think anyone has completed the entire thing yet (there is more after the tower of babble achievement). I like how the map is split into sections and even though taking the bus is the easy way, running is so much fun when you have four people that can't see a damn thing through the fog while the little "Denizens" are clawing at your face. There is so much to discover in TranZit. Grief mode is very fun. Trolling the other team and trying to get them killed is hilarious. The only very minor complaint I have is that in survival mode there are only three maps out of the five sections in TranZit mode. Also, they took out the perks and pack a punch on one map, and took the pack a punch out of another, so there is really only one map that I enjoy that has everything. The custom private match customization is cool but there should be much more customization. The reason those complaints are so minor is because TranZit has so much to offer that I probably won't be playing survival that much.
Cant wait for black ops 2 but will probs get bored of campers & stop playing it like i did mw3,zombies looks sick though so that might keep me playing it.
I like and respect that Treyarch actually try to change things within the stagnating series, but it just isn't enough to get me to spend more money on a game I've bought 4 times (cod 4, waw, mw2 & blops). Maybe next gen they'll really shake things up. Probly not though.
I'm not too fussed about this either. I didn't mind black ops but this futuristic development spoils it in my view. I may end up buying it anyway, but I'm really not that convinced it's going to be all that good of a game.
I actually think Treyarch have done really well with this one, more change gone into Black Ops 2 than any other since CoD4.
if you can look past the typical Call of Duty pessimism from almost everyone, this could be a great title.
Campaign will at least feel a little different with the futuristic setting, the zombies mode looks huge this time and theres been significant changes to the multiplayer and imo they look to make things a lot more interesting, I especially like the pick10 class creation system they added.
as long as Hardcore Domination and SnD are still there i'll be playing it![]()
Guess I need to do a bit more reading up on this then... I have no idea what this is!Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ![]()
it just gives you a lot more freedom with your classes.Originally Posted by Skag
each part of your setup (primary weapon, secondary, grenades, equipment, attachments, perks etc.) counts as 1 slot - and you have 10.
obviously you cant pick 10 assault rifles but other than having just two weapons, you can do what you like with the rest of it.
I think its a master-stroke. will be a lot of fun messing around with your setup, finding out what works best for you.
the way I play, I think i'll be better off with 5 or 6 perks and not bother with attachments or equipment![]()
