    Re: Halo 4

IGN gave a sweet review of Halo 4 (already!?) and gave it a 9.8 out of 10! I don't think seen a rating like that, they even said it's possible that it could be the best game made on any platform this year!

Just had a look and I don't have any complaints about forge anymore. UNSC structures are back

Ign reviews are often unrealistic and usually tainted by favouritism. The fact that Halo was built on huge open area battles with large numbers of enemies has been overlooked in Halo 4 for tight close quarters fights with fewer enemies and less tactical options. Im sure it will be a great game and ive enjoyed all the others, but for me they have removed its greatest selling point which is going against what made it great in the first place.

You would know this too if you hadnt got all starry eyed over igns review. There are lots of other reviews thast go in depth about the lack of scale.

I'll be buying this anyway, Im just not expecting an epic campaign after what ive read. I like they fact they removed kill counts from some of the mp gametypes and focussed more on teamplay, it means even randoms try helping each other which is a rare thingv but ie always been a casual halo player with the campaign as my focus.

Try reading Edge review, or CVG....they are far more down to earth and you will get a much less rose rinted write up than IGN.

    Re: Halo 4

ive read on a few different sites that Halo 4 features larger, open arenas in the campaign.. "a new subject matter, set-pieces galore, plenty of new vehicle sections and this time with much more wide-open sandbox areas to explore.."
either way wouldnt put me off, the game looks phenomenal.

jumping straight into solo legendary before joining the multiplayer ranks, hopefully got the day off work aswell I cant wait!
what game types are people favouring and looking forward to? I'll probably be spending most of my time on SWAT and Snipers but with the custom loadouts and perk system, I think I'll find regular team slayer much more enjoyable than it was on Reach.
