hey guys, I'm wondering what could be causing this weird screen skipping that is happening in my new track, its not lag as it was doing it from the very start when i first put a couple obstacles down, the track is on the new world paine map, i set up my track as night time with a full moon and cloud cover, could this be contributing to this kind of skipping? does anyone know what else it might be or how to fix it? sometimes the track will run through smooth and not do it but then other times it will just do it in random places???????????? its not too bad as making it unplayable but annoying as i dont know why its doing it? anyone with any suggestions please help out? i would appreciate it, cheers![]()
just wondering if the game start gate is too close to the world edge.
sounds like screen tareif this is the case it is caused by similar things which cause lag. too much trees and plant growth, too much light in 1 area , too many objects or effects etc. not sure if what you are explaining is this but hope you can sort the problem
try changing your environment colours and fog settings etc, sometimes simply changing the angle of the sun can fix screen tare
Ok that what I thought but it was doing it as soon as I started the build, I think I had two ramps in and was testing it and it was doing it?????????? That's why I was thinking it might of been the clouds I got with the moon on the biggest setting, some fog settings and stars? Could that cause screen tear? I adjusted some last night and it seemed to correct itself a bit, might have to play around with the weather and environment settings more
screen tear is because there is no option to video sync the frame rate on the xbox, the GPU starts drawing the next frame when the TV is part way through its frame cycle.
Ok so dasraiser, could it be the environment settings causing lag I'm getting? Just I set my environment settings up before I started building the track and as I said it was doing it from the start? Cheers for the input by the way mateI appreciate it, as I said before it must be those settings so I will have a look when I get home from work
i've never had any issues with the custom environment settings or the camera customs, i have noticed on occasions when i go to load a custom to play i get water sound, like im under water and maybe the rider is spawning briefly under the map, one way to test this is to use the custom spawn platform found in the startgate options and raise it just above the ground.
Ok, just so maybe u can gauge it better, my track is like a old ruins theme so mainly I'm using the ruins out of the DLC pack, everything in the background is set to deco only and I don't have too many lights or physics objects going on, it's really annoying but ill try a few things later, cheers again mate
I disagree as the tearing had got worse since the DLC, suggesting its a software issue in the game.Originally Posted by dasraiser
What type of xbox do you own ( ie is it an old white one ) if so, its basicly the xbox overheating as it cant handle the game, if not check ure internet firewall , u`l prob need the ports opened
