Playing it as soon as i get home man. Wish i had it on xbox so i could slap you up in the arena
Are you enjoying it? I was going to start a new build to tackle the dlc...but im not sure i can wait now my main dude is level 178 in NG5 and ready to enter the DLC and i have a little dude level 70 in ng....what would be best in your opinion?
Ive heard its a rather short dlc at around 2-3 hours.
I would say level 70 is the perfect level for an experienced Dark Souls player looking for a challenge. I went in at level 67 and am having serious trouble with the last two bosses. (There is also a third very tough encounter that I haven't beaten). Which is great, because Dark Souls hasn't seriously challenged me in a long time.Originally Posted by emcee
It will probably be even harder for your character in NG+5. This new bosses do serious amounts of damage (Most kill me in 2 hits) and some of them have a lot of health. It will only get worse in NG+.
Obviously how long it is depends on how much you suck. I got through the majority of it in about 5 hours, but completing everything will take much longer. As always there are choices to be made and it is impossible to get everything in one playthrough.
And there's no way you'd beat me in the arena or anywhere else, nooblet![]()
I went on on my ng5 dude in the end...the sanctuary guardian absolutely massacred me for about 45 minutes lol...them stone golems in the royal wood pretty much one shot me too. Lovin it though man spent about 3 hours on it helped a couple of dudes out too. Awesome dlc
Havent got past the wood yet...hopin for some areas with similar style to the burg...cant wait to see what else is in store.
Haha, if you had trouble with the Sanctuary Guardian then you are going to love the bosses that come next. Try returning to where you fought the Sanctuary Guardian for a nice surpriseOriginally Posted by emcee![]()
Also there is an area that is very similar to the burg, so you're in luck!
Dark Souls is a light shining in darkness in these times. Times of Press A to win, the AWESOME button, Super sparkling graphics that only uses one colour palette and simplistic gameplay so nobody feels left out, and did I mention the AWESOME button: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMcVZQI6ybw
I was a bit confused as to why the PC "Prepare to Die" edition was imbedded and not Console DLC as the Console version is the original, so I instantly thought it was the Add-on type of DLC a la Origin of Pain when I saw the thread title, but then I searched up Dark Souls DLC ( I haven't been keeping track of anything Dark Souls related since my first playthrough, but I absolutely loved it) and found this: http://www.co-optimus.com/article/91...abyss-dlc.html (wait wtf? a website dedicated to only co-op games? What next?)
Too much Hilariousness from the developer to quote here.
Dark Souls is awesome but NG+ is lacking (i'd prefer the game be designed with a different approach to replayability; the LGS approach) and the game could have really benefitted from an actual soundtrack. Still probably my GOTY 2011 though.
Superb man...if i ever get past the royal.wood that is haha....gonna join other people for a few hours tonight and learn artorias patterns before i face him aloneOriginally Posted by buttcheekofdeth![]()
Aw man, I really gotta play this, but I'm so far removed from darks souls. Im gonna have lots of catching up to do.![]()
Good luck; it is much, much harder than the regular game. I find it funny that people were begging for an easy mode and then they go and make this.Originally Posted by Stllbreathnbuty
You should probably make a new character so that way by the time you get to the DLC you should be caught up.
My thoughts exactly. I have been wanting to play the game again anyhow.![]()
