TEST YOUR MIGHT tips and techniques for platinum/0 faults

This thread is for anybody who is yet to get platinum or to achieve any personal goal they are aiming for on this tournament. Already there is many of the top players have shared their best tips and techniques on how to achieve this as quick and efficient as possible. I hope this helps. Enjoy reading.

P.S. I first made this page asking for help and within 2 days of this page being up and having 1 fault on the tournament for many months, I achieved 0 faults and now I don't ever have to worry about it any more, some say this thread is a lucky charm as they also achieved it within days of it being out.

My personal advice: I've started to play the online hardcore trials and if any of the last 3-4 extreme tracks come up, i vote for them and that way I practice them with having a bit of fun at the same time

Here is The Blaze JP's Test your Might guide for people who don't want the quickest time but want to complete all the extremes with technique, he has some amazing advice, check out the video and look in the description for the guide and the time at which the techniques are used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_86rRhggM0

Here is a compilation of the advice given by very skilled riders:

WILLIUMZ: honestly the best way to zero tym is to play it very often, but not for too long. meaning every time you jump on Trials, hit Test Your Might a few times. chances are you wont get it the first couple of days.. but the more you fail on it, the less cautious of failing you become.. and it gets easier to hold your nerve.

xzample SpeedrunNaked): it takes time and patience. Nothing but time and patience. I found out two things. 1. It's much easier with people in a party (relaxes nerves).

    2. Just keep doing it over and over.

Yoshi (Colors of Life): If you are able to 0 fault each extreme track individually, then probability states that you will absolutely get it eventually.

Chicago AJ: 1) Speedrun the first 3 tracks because they're pretty easy and you should be pretty good at them after playing this so many times.

    2) Learn safe routes, they may be slower but in the end they're easier than the fast ones. For example: The first obstacle on The Wreck, it's much easier to jump to the second log than to try and ride on both. When you get to the telephone obstacle on Dark City Run drive up on the platform just enough to trigger the cars. There are 3 cars, after that you can take that part as slow as you need to.

    3) Practice Inferno 3 and Way of the NInja before attempting to 0 fault the tournament.

Guunners: Practice Inferno 3 again and again. My tip is to get 0 fault on each track (except the 3 first tracks which are easy) 3 times in a row before starting the tournament. It's long but then you're highly trained.

Mice (Mice o eciM): Took it very slow on WOTN

Burn Potential: I smoked a bit the last time I played and the second go I 1 faulted(not endorsing doing drugs for people that have this problem, but it helped me).

Ben1Bob: smoking and having music on that i love (so i sing along to it) definitely helps me.

End of Assembly (the king of TYM): just remember that 0 faulting is difficult no matter who you are......so dont be too hard on yourself and keep at it

BigSh0tRob: I think the best tips are safe routes and practising dark city, inferno 3 and way of the ninja.
Try to do the harder obstacles the slow way, don't go for shortcuts.
Don't be overconcentrated, listen to some good music (Bob Marley)
Don't have negative thoughts be relaxed and confident.

    Final Tip:
When you get to way of the ninja:
Pray to Trials Jesus aKa Chicago AJ, it worked for me!

ShartRelief(Swag Deflector): hold back the adrenaline and just chill the F out. Have some damn confidence! You can 15 fault TYM you can 5 fault it! If you can 5 fault it then you can 0 it.

Hope all these pro tips from pro riders help you to be a better rider and achieve the goal you want in test your might and any other goal! Good luck!

ahh you dont really wanna be top page without dlc... please

honestly the best way to zero tym is to play it very often, but not for too long. meaning every time you jump on Trials, hit Test Your Might a few times. chances are you wont get it the first couple of days.. but the more you fail on it, the less cautious of failing you become.. and it gets easier to hold your nerve.

you're obviously well above the skill level needed to zero it, you just gotta hit it hard imo. grind at it

    good luck anyway.

    Re: Testing My Might

yea, thank you, thats wat i think mite made it harder, as the map pack came out, ive been focusing on the DLC maps, not the old extreme, so ive started to play the online hardcore trials and if any of the last 3-4 extreme tracks come up, i vote for them and that way i practice them with having a bit of fun at the same time, i dont think i could grind it, after getting my 1 fault on WOTN at the 2nd to last checkpoint, i gave up and havn't played it since, but i feel it's holding me back and there is an extra 50-100k xp there for me to grab i'll try have a few goes on it, i USUALLY get to inferno no problem, i feel like just practicing inferno and WOTN cause it's those i need to make sure i can do, and if i keep doing the TYM, ill be mostly practicing the starting tracks which aren't that important.

    Re: Testing My Might

ive just played inferno 5 times, from scratch with no restarts, without playing it apart from online for over 2 months, here are my results: 1st: 2 faults, 56 seconds. 2nd: 1 fault 44 seconds. 3rd: 0 faults 44 seconds. 4th: 3 faults 51 seconds. 5th: 1 fault 43 seconds. overall i got 7 faults in the 5 times doing it, 5 of those faults were on the double barrels and the other 2 were on the tilted pallets near the start, just before the barrels.

Thank you but i very highly doubt that, you do, you're obviously very skilled at this game and i'm not at your standards yet. I'm just aiming to overtake professional on DLC i'm hoping with the tournament xp i might be able to, without it i would need to get top 10 on every track including the old ones, it's my lifetime ambition on this game from now on thanks for your help and support keep up the good community work you do

As someone who doesn't have TYM zero faulted, it takes time and patience. Nothing but time and patience.

Time and patience that I, personally, am not willing to invest.

    Willyumz is absolutely right.

Camp it for ~19 hours straight.

If you are able to 0 fault each extreme track individually, then probability states that you will absolutely get it eventually.
