I really can't make any sense of this since it would seem like a hardware issue in this case, yet alvyronson is using a 4 with no problems.
    So
Alvy iPhone 4 iOS 5.1.1 failed replays (hige/nyt/nully) but with 3 blocks falling, DonRene too but on 5.0.1
JillS789 iPad 2 iOS 5.1.1 failed replay (nully) and 3 blocks falling
Arianj iPhone 4S with iOS 6.0 only 2 of the 3 ice blocks fall down into the valley
Hige iPhone (iOS 6.0), all 3 blocks end up in the valley
Hige iPad (iOS 5.1.1), on both the HD and regular 1000 Heroz, only two blocks fall into that same valley.

I cannot see any obvious link. Nytmair, are you still on iPhone4?

And just as another data point from my wife's iPhone (which she hasn't upgraded to the latest OS yet)
Jennimar iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1 only 2 of the 3 ice blocks fall down into the valley

Re: Different physics on different devices/OS?

I use an iphone5 now.. the difference for replays is DEFINITELY the hardware, not the iOS.

Replays made on the iphone 5 only play on the iphone 5.
Replays made Ipads/non-5 iphones cannot be played on the iphone 5.
Replays made on the iphone 5 cannot be played on Ipads/non-5 iphones.

That is what I have come to learn at least, and I am almost certain my info is correct.

The physics seem to act different on the 5, not just on ios6, which caused the extra ice block to fall, and the other day on the level where iphone5 users could do the level (i got 1st place) using only 1 jump.

Re: Different physics on different devices/OS?

as i'm still on iphone4 I should avoid Nytmair, Nullrygar, Hige replays, anyone else who's good regularly at top got a iPhone5, Robz/Elm/Rooky being the main contenders.

    Rob is ipad only.
Rook plays on both ipad and iphone 5, so he's a hit or miss.
Elm i am unsure of, but I have a feeling he uses a 5.

Re: Different physics on different devices/OS?

the effect of the difference between devices is pretty obvious. I suspect it is something pretty fundamental in the way in which the different devices calculate (shrugs) and might not be an easy fix. In any case I can't take the game seriously anymore and will no longer be playing competitively.

Re: Different physics on different devices/OS?

I sent an email to Redlynx support about 499 yesterday. They emailed me back telling me that they appreciated the emails and were passing it along to the devs. Where it goes from there IDK, but I feel like RL has a track record of listening to its fan base and doing what they can when they can to fix serious issues.

I would consider this a serious issue....since some players now may have a clear advantage on some levels. The premise of the whole game is that you perfect the line, but if perfect on one device is not even possible to achieve on another device. That's a serious issue.

    Wow. That really sucks.

I use an iPad 2 with 5.1.1 by the way. Nytmair glitched at least twice for me, but yeah, we know why by now. Maybe his 17.1xx score today (501) isn't even possible on non-iPhone-5 devices. This issue really breaks the game competitive-wise

I'm not intentionally posting this right at the end of the day, I just saw this now.

Here's my run if anyone is interested.
