Replays STILL not fixed? I'm loosing hope. | Forums

I'm very disappointed to see that replays are still incredibly unstable and wether or not a replay works seems to be entirely random. Very hit and miss.

I just completed a ninja track on TC. It was the first "ninja" track i ever completed and so i wanted to record the replay and upload it on youtube.

I first clicked "X to Watch Replay" after i finished the track to find out at what failcount i completed an obstacle so i knew when to stop fast forwarding. When i had the numbers down i went back to the track page to start my recording and then what? *Replay corrupt* BUT IT WORKED LIKE 10 SECONDS AGO!

Will it ever be fixed or should i just forget about the replay feature? It's been half a year since the game came out and replays have never really worked very well.

Not sure they will ever be fixed to be honest, and yes this is disappointing. I love watching the top players to help improve my runs, also trying to record videos is a nightmare on some tracks. Even deleting and re-downloading tracks is only succesful in some cases...
A replay will work one moment, but trying to watch a second time and it selects a completely different rider and obviously crashes.
It must be complicated to fix this, as even way back in HD the replays were problematic.

by the looks of things the whole leaderboard for customs isn't working properly, dont matter how badly i do i come 21st on every track unless i actually do well then it could be anywhere from 1-21. What happened to there being 100 places on the leaderboard Most of the time I dont even get to watch a replay unless its my own

The #1 replay on my track got corrupted and stayed that way for a couple of months, only just fixing itself after the recent title update

You can often get the replays to work by just being persistant. Try watching it with RB pressed in pressing A when you crash press Y to watch replay again pressing A again May be don't allways wait till you crash b4 exiting replay then pressing Y to view again. Warning somtimes take a fair few attempts but i can usually get them to work eventually. It is really annoying trials HD was the same but i found i could get those replays to work the same way.
Have got a few theories
If you crash don't leave the rider sitting there restart or press B or exit
If you want to make vid for your track try making one with a profile other than the one that made the track
even if you do that you might still get a corrupt video cause just cause
If making a track avoid lag and distortion 1 tip lowering light range can often increase performance lowering force of explosions,fireworks especially ones that are part of the scenery helps.
