san cruser actually make the official xbox usb > http://www.sandisk.co.uk/products/ga...sb-flash-drive < so i`d be very surprised if my sancruzer is not compatible ( it did run the game from the usb drive when i copied it over )
This problem does only happen when im online, but my connection is deffo no the issue, i can play other games no problems online battlefield 1943, brink, MWF2, project gotham, track n field, sensible soccer etc, i can stream films and watch the iplayer with no probs n never get any lagg/redraw/glitching at all, the worst is that MWF2 drops out but its known for that.
Its only in Evo since the update/dlc that the game has started to do this, shifty advised that the tracks are locally stored, so the only thing that should be going tru my router is other peoples "ghosts", that shouldnt take a lot of band with up?
I have tried sharing the connection via my pc to the xbox so that i can run DU meter to check the transfer rate and it does download and upload a hell of a lot of info ( 40mb+ for a hour session ) << this is the bit thats really confusing me as the track is stored locally, so wtf is it transfering??
Really confusing![]()
Yeah not sure man.. Wouldnt think an update would affect how much bandwith youre using. If youre nat still says moderate there may be some issues with your router/modem. You want that to say OPEN for the best connectivity. I dont think NAT is related to ports but I could be wrong it has been a minute since I set a modem up. You might log into your modem and see if an NAT option is enabled. I dont remember having to open any ports to get things running smoothly but devices will differ I suppose. If all else fails, find your xbox settings and be sure to jot down it's mac address.. I actually have my laptops mac address on my xbox now.. It helped my connectivity anyway, if you try this be sure you know what the original mac address is if it doesnt work out. Just something ive done not sure if it will help but goodluck and if youre gaming wireless see if connectivity straight into your modem via ethernet helps. Thats all I can think of.
Thanks for taking the time to reply ANTWANthePAWN, its looking like that im going to be one of the few who`s game doesnt work properly, its not going to get fixed and im just gonna have to accept it and remember for the future![]()
So ive spent the last 3 days running a number of tests in different senarios to try and figure out what is causing the problem .... and its still comes down to 1 thing "This Game"
Connection > i went thru a lot of guides on how to setup ure router and to get the NAT "open" best ones i found are below
http://forums.eutechnyx.com/threads/...1-Xbox-360-PS3
http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-l...at-type-strict
My router as said b4 has all the required ports open, as said b4 ive tried the DMZ and ive even now got to the stage where i turned the firewall off on my router ( didnt want to, but had to test it) and hey ho, its made bugger all difference.
The result - All other games work fine, Evo still has the same problems!
Hard drive > I tried to moving the game to a usb drive, un-installing, re-installing, downloading the game at a friends house on to my xbox, removing a lot of other games to free up HD space, putting a large fan next to it to keep cool
The result - All other games work fine, Evo still has the same problems!
Yesterday I recorded myself online playing > MWF2, Battlefield 1943 & Track n Field, all of which worked no problem at all (edited video uploaded as it`ll take me bloody ages to create and upload a 27 min video) .... Of course playing MP on Evo yeilded the usual results > tracks not loading properly and a lot of glitching/freezing and SP whist online, the same.
Because i have access to 2 accounts, 1 gold and 1 silver i have noticed that if i decide to play the game completly offline (unplugg the network lead) then then game does not glitch apart from on WOTN, i have no redraw issues at all??
Having gone thru the scientific procedure (test all means possible), for me the problem clearly lies in the game and its got something to do with it being online at the same time??
Im getting very disheartened with this situation as i can see a lot of posts that are complaining about faults that were not there previous to the DLC/Update. when are the dev`s going to take this seriously?
The currrent consensus atm is to either turn the xbox on n off again and see if that fixes it ( the biggest lame/cop-out ever ) or just to accept that nothing is going to change n to put up with it, which again in any normal business is another cop-out.
P.s > soz 4 the swearing .... im a bit crap a MWF![]()
Lets remember its redlynx youre talking about here.. A team that develops games. I'm sure they care but there is only so much advice you can give in the situation youre in. I understand where youre coming from but I think you need to look at your options here and try some of the things listed rather than going at it in your own way. If you have already, apologies.. Im drawing a blank personally I cant figure why youre having performance issues.
Yeh ive allready tried the test that shifty suggested and it only made it worse, so i moved back to the xbox HD.
Ive literally run out of ideas now, i dont know wt else i can do?
Theres nothing worse than playing an game that u really like that goes wrong every now n again, its a bit like driving a Bugatti Veyron Super Sports and having a squeaky peddle![]()

My patience is starting to wear very thing as i feel RL dont give a ...k!
Can somebody from RL put me out of my misery and advise whether this is fixable or not? Yes or No, its a simple request!
I've had the same issues in the past with games from Activision mainly, no matter what i did to my router, i continued to have NAT issues, even putting my PS3's IP address in the DMZ of the router still showed Strict or Moderate NAT and Multiplayer wouldn't work, everything i can see in your video looks like connection issues to me.
What sort of results do you get at http://www.speedtest.net and http://www.pingtest.net. Also, go here http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and type in the ports you believe should be open and see what it says.
Thanks for the Lukeyy19, but i whole heartly disagree that this is a router issue.
The videos i uploaded (so far(its doing my head in having to record/edit/upload/add to a thread)) have only shown a moderate connection, i do get a open connection intemittantly only on this game a MWF2 - everything else is fine.
(done another vid tonight with the Nat open and the "texture popping" happening whislt playing downhill dominator, also done one of the Iplayer in action and DU meter to prove a decent transfer rate is present - i will upload tomoz)
To Quote shifty again (might actally get a bloody answer this time!!)
This has been tested allready (read previous posts)Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai

Also if that is the case, why has it got much much worse since in DL the DLC??
And also if that is the case why doesnt ANY other game i play do it??
Nothing adds up, not even this support section, they should rename it a rant section as so far any weird probelms that get reported about the game seem to get unanswered by the only poeple that can actually fix it![]()
well here the 2 vids i said i would up >
1st - Downhill Dominator > My "NAT" is open (as shown) and the popping still occurs! (fyi ... i cleared the cache and then rebooted b4 loading the game)
2nd - BBC Iplayer & DU meter showing that i can get a decent data transfer rate to watch streaming Vids
Same conclusion - not my router causing the problems, Are RL going to try and at least offer a sensible solution, or have i accidently signed up to the forum of fingerless mutes?
Almost 2 weeks later n a lot of naggin .... i get the reason >
If i got told that 2 weeks ago ..... wellOriginally Posted by sipe![]()
