    Magic Marker Jump of Death

    There's only one obstacle in the game that I have no 'plan of attack' for and that's the vertical hop in the middle of Magic Marker. Practise usually solves these kinds of problems and allows me to figure out a strategy for a certain obstacle, but this one continues to elude me. I just don't understand how to get the rider to go up the slope quickly and smoothly enough without bouncing and losing momentum.

    I've put 8-10 hours into this track and the best I've done is a freak run of ~40 faults that I got early on. Which is utterly shameful, in my opinion. I platinumed all the Crash County Extremes in that time-frame; this track and this obstacle feel like a kind of anomaly.

    I know that 100s of players have consciously figured out a method for getting past this obstacle consistently; how do you do it? Do you start the hill off slowly and speed up? Do you make use of the slope just before the checkpoint? What is the rider's speed and angle when you usually bunny-hop?

    Try Bunny hop just before the end instead of the end going full speed,

    It's on an angle, reverse a little and have another crack at it. I dislike that track...

    No, definitely not.

    It's just the driving line.
    I think this track would have done better as a medium. The concept is cool, but the DL is awful.

    I could say this a million times, this is by far the most visually impressive track to date.

    A fine example of how simplicity can achieve such great form and beauty.

    But yeah, I suck at this track, and am faulting about where the OP is talking about.

    It wouldn't be so hard if it wasn't side scrolling 2D.

    I agree fully. While the visual design is really cool, the ccamera perspective and the lack of details to use as a visual referrence to where you are and how fast your going, the track is a major pain.
