hello everybody. i'm new to the site but not the game. i've tried to avoid any tips and tricks up till now other than what i learn from replays but the scoring is driving me crazy. i'm currently about 4200 overall @ 19,100,000-ish. i want points but i don't know the best places to get em. i just lowered my way of the ninja placing from 29 faults and 19000th to 18 faults and 11000th place and only got 1200 measley points for it. other times i blow out huge point gaines without much ryme or reason. how the hell does it work? most of my times are pretty low and i don't want to slave nothing. any tips?? FYI, i'm already @ 100% with all platinum up to out of the pit and most tournaments platinum or close to it so improvements will be a *****. any tips??

WHOA! just got a ****-ton of points (193k) for getting platinum on the scenic route tournament. i was around 25k place with 4 faults and now i'm about 2300th or so. it looks like i'm going for platinum in the tourneys but i'd still like to know the formula if anybody knows it.
thanks dudes. sorry i missed it. i shoulda figured i wasn't the only going crazy about it![]()
great info on that thread. especially the bottom line fact i was looking for: reduce faults!!. i just gained 58k points getting one less fault on the fantastic voyage tourney even though i didn't move up very far in the rankings and my time was actually slower.
i think i've run up against you on line before.Originally Posted by LethalGangsta82

general rule of thumb, you need to have very few faults for a track/tournament to pay off, your best bet is to lower your fault count everywhere you can, even 1 fault costs a LOT of points.
