A man drives head first in to a bar...

i was on TC this morning (...yes another TC hate topic.) and i just woke up and felt like playing a moderatly hardish extream track..could i find one...no is the answer.

just about every track was taged as ninja. im not saying they were bad tracks, but i just woke up and couldent do any of them.

ninga realy needs to be implemented as a difficulty not a tag.

agreed, im getting fed up with finding pages of ninja tracks too, maybe a whole section should be dedicated to only ninja tracks and if you share a track tagged ninja then it goes in the highest rated ninja section (if its good enough)

I don't understand this suggestion at all. Most people only use the ninja tag because it sounds cool. At least right now it is kind of hard to find, at the very bottom of the tags list which most people probably don't even look through.

If it were made into a difficulty then it would be even easier to find and the number of "ninja" tracks would increase drastically. Every mediocre creator on TC would label their track as Ninja just because it sounds cool.

If it was designed to be a difficulty it would be one. But a ninja track is designed to be beyond SP difficulty, so therefore it shouldnt be classified as a difficulty, as there are no sp ninja tracks. Therefore its available as a tag for those who wish to use it.

Sure its completely misused (such as Hard dif, Ninja tag) but that doesnt mean it should be a difficulty. Heck, half the tags get totally misused as well but noone complains about those.

What would be handy is being able to run a search for a 48hr period that EXCLUDES certain difficulties, tags and track types. For example, run a search that excludes all difficulties except extreme, exludes SX and skill games and excludes the ninja tag. Then you would get a bunch of extreme trials tracks without ninja in the tag sorted by the highest rating over the last 48hrs.

Couldn't agree more. That is exactly what I want.

I wish searching for gamer tags wasnt case sensitive. How many GT's mix up Upper and Lowercases?

yes that would be the best idea adding an exclution tag serch, i dident think of that.

so the serch would look like this..

    type: trials
    diff: extream
    tag: any
    -tag: ninja

But what if ninja was made a SP difficuly unlocked by thos that have all but 4-5 plats as a super secret end game list of track that dident count towards the GR, just as a bit of fun on well designed tracks made by RL them selfs.

I agree that alot of people tag it as ninja because its a popular choice by alot of riders..its all about ratings again guys im afraid to say....there would be a few possibilities of sorting this out, but probably wont happen..not just yet anyways..also i feel alot of people that build, dont know exactly how to mark their tracks in terms of difficulty..this has alot to do with it also...

This is one of the reasons I have created GTC. I have implemented seperate ninja difficulties for each ninja level.

    Check it out:

    Ninja Level 1
    Ninja Level 3
    Ninja Level 4

GTC obviously doesn't contain the bulk of Track Central, but I hope it will eventually contain enough tracks to tickle your fancy.

I agree. And I'm actually pretty sure that Xbox gamertags are not case sensitive, so it doesn't make sense for Redlynx's search to be case sensitive. If you search culb420 or Culb420 on xbox, both will still find me, so why not the same on Trials? It's silly.
