Just type "dxdiag" in run and get to know your computer specifications under windows environment. It will help you better to get in details.
Why laptop? I got a desktop pc with a quad core AMD 955 processor and gtx 560 for £350. It seems like some are spending the same amount of money to get a thinner, but worse computer.
It's Apple's fault for fooling millions with shiny computers that get thinner and less capable each year.Originally Posted by MouldyeggZ

I ordered the card and PS from new egg, and when they showed up, the power supply wouldn't fit right in the case. I had to metal snip the case a little to help it fit.
So now I have a wonderful graphics card, nVidia GT 630. For once in my life, I can set the graphics in most my games to HIGH 1920 x 1080. Looking beautiful.
The moral of this story is, my graphics card isn't the newest. It's about 6 generations older than the newest, and still pretty slick.
On board or integrated chip sets just won't cut it, go for the upgrade. Do whatever it takes.
Now Portal 2 on my PC looks amazing. I'm sure Trials Gold Edition will too.
You guys are wayyyy wayyy wayyy over exaggerating in terms of what people can or can't run.
Yoshi ur specs should be absolutely fine no problems
So I can't believe I didn't notice this before, but it looks like Vista or above is a requirement. Luckily I work for a major university and can upgrade to 7. I'm not happy about it, but my PC can run it easily, and I should probably catch up with the rest of the world, especially if I want to actually play the beta (which I can't, currently).
If you can upgrade, do it, cause Win7 turned out to be a great OS. A lot more stable than XP and everything just runs faster/better. You won't regret it.
