OK, I just did something stupid and knocked my xbox off of a dresser (4 ft drop) and now when I turn it on it gives me a red light in the center, but none of the red rings light up. I'm afraid this means its "buy new xbox" time, but can someone clarify what the single red light means?

In the book that come with my xbox states that your console has overheated..turn it off until cool..

By "service" they actually mean "replace"!

I feel naked without an XBOX. Its weird... but I lucked out, a friend of mine is selling his for 85 bucks, not a bad deal if i must say so myself!

Ah well...an upside to everything....your old one might have gone red when you were skint or no xboxs for sale at that price....


Its horrible not having one there though..(
