As for the ratings. There is already a thread somewhere here where people were discussing how they rate stuff by considering other factors than just 1-5 stars. You could also throw a poll that says something like "what factors are important when rating a track?" and then list as many different aspects to a track as you can think of. Here's a few that come to mind: Driveline, Flow, Background, Theme, Fun, Accessibility, Lagfree, Glitchfree, Gimmickfree, Consistent Difficulty, Recommendability, wow factor, Originality, Visuals, Small Details, Animations, Use of physics, Mechanics (skill games), and perhaps rage quit factor![]()
I would like to be able to look at the ratings for a track and know what to expect just from the ratings. Oh, this track has poor visuals but a great static driveline without any lag or gimmicks. I'd play that over a track with a bad driveline that looks great and lags. Or if you're in the mood for something crazy the ratings should be able to show that too. Then you could sort by highest rated wow factor, animations, and physics to see some really good crazy tracks.
Awesome suff !
But I have some suggestions for you :
For submit a track :
- add the type of the bike (Rattler 125cc - Piranha 250cc - Scorpion 450cc - Pheonix Evo - Micro Donkey 60cc)
- add the number of faults for medals
And maybe you want to made a translation of the website in french, I can help you if you want.
x)
Awesome ideas! Thank! I will not forget this post .. I think this sounds like a very nice implementation. Especially if I make it flexible enough to add more categories to rate on!Originally Posted by Luthanick
Thanks Killlard. Good idea! That way we could also filter on specific bikes. I personally only drive with the Evo and I get disappointed when I do not get a choice and have to ride the ScorpOriginally Posted by Killlard
Just wanted to lket you guys now that I have done a cool update this weekend. The rider times listed for Trials 2 tracks are now directly connected to RedLynx's database. That means if you get a score in the game, if will automatically appear on the site without having to submit the time. I a mreally hoping to get something like this working for the upcoming versions of Trials for PC (Evolution Gold), but no promised since that entirely depends on RedLynx!
It's a killer feature!
Congrats man on fulfilling a great service to community members..well done you..
thnx for adding my tracks

While the screenshots and concept are wonderful, I can't take advantage due to silverlight. I don't have it and don't want it. Excellent work though, and if you can work around the copyright laws mentioned in earlier posts, I consider you a True Fan.
Not many people go through these lengths to make Trials better, and you have done that.

The link for the mobile site will be shown underneath the Silverlight logo (when that appears). You can also follow this link:

Then I have no issue! The mobile site works well, and the links to YT videos are pretty well done as well.
Kudos, sir. Kudos.

Hi everybody,
Many of you have been asking to focus more on the mobile site, so I have. As of right now users can submit tracks from the mobile site. I have done a lot of testing so I hope everything works! If you run into any problem, let me know!
These screenshots were created on Apple devices, but the site is really designed to work on all mobile platforms.
