making a good looking lighting strike out of arcing effect

Does anyone have advice on how to create a good lighting strike using eletric arcing effect. A track named Dead Town by SmEgHeAd89 had a great example of what Im tring to make at about the 23-24 sec. area..... thanks

Not really you could just test trying to put different types of Eletric Arcs in different positions or perhaps you could just use Small pipes in a lighting stike shape with point lights at a certain colour and the visibility of the pipes off and lights of and turn them all on at the same time?

If the electric arcs were used, it was probably a small code chain of effect on, delay, effect on delay, etc. shouldn't be that difficult.

Set the delay for like a few ticks, (trial and error as always) connect the delay to the effect on, and connect the effect on to the electric arcs. Copy paste the desired amount. Have an area trigger some where on the course to start the effect chain.

keep the impulse line through the whole chain, so each connecting "group" will go from effect to the next delay of the next group.

If this doesn't make sense, I can make a video later.
