In a variable data source, check "Interpolate", and you can then adjust the Interpolation speed and the "Max Step".

Max step is the maximum value the datasource will increase by in one tick.

Personally I don't like using the interpolation setting in the variable data source. Because the control you have over it isn't as precise as some other tools it can be a pain to work with. Depending on what you are doing you may have better options.

It's for a flight simulator. The variable data source is the X axis position in the OPE which moves the aircraft, which is set up to increase on each tick at increments tied to the press of the right trigger.

Without the interpolation, the acceleration happens immediately and looks jerky, so I'm using this setting to produce a gradual increase/decrease of speed.

Exagereted example:If you want a jet to go 100,000 MPH then it would be helpful to make the Max Step on something like 5,000 and like a speed of 1-10, 5,000 is how much it

increase by in one tick.
