i think redlynx are that in touch with their fans, they just want to reward them...thats my thought on it...everyone would do youtube channels, etc regardless...it doesnt matter.. its a nice incentive from their behalf...

i guess what i mean to say is that the title True Fan implies that the real fans arent the ones who enjoy the game for its own sake but are the people who somehow promote the game to non players...redlynx also is very weary of putting in the game unlockable equipment that is very difficult to get and achevements that are "too hard" but they wont hesitate to add a little club that is equally as difficult to get in to (if its for the sake of marketing of course)....i understand marketing and generating profit is not evil and MUST be done...but i dont see how TF is any different than adding things (equipment, colors, emblems, etc.) that only top players can unlock....and no one can dispute that TF is a free way for redlynx to market their product on the backs of others....why not add an emblem for players with every platinum medal? well it wouldnt help market to anyone but people who already play the game (and it would also take away from the glory of true fan emblems).....i gaurantee if redlynx added an emblem for every platinum more people would have this emblem than the TF one (not right away but this would motivate more people to try to get every platinum) and the fact that more people would have it would prove that its actually easier to get....also.....being a top player ought to be reward enough? the same could be said for every person with TF...i could say that you posting your youtube videos or tattooing your *** should be reward enough and therefore you deserve no emblem either (if you really are a true fan then why do you need the emblem?)....the reason you get true fan is because redlynx views you as an asset...the same way they view their employees as an asset and grant them RL eblems (only you dont get paid)

On your platinum emblems, I have wanted them to have emblems for a while. Stuff based on global ranking, building tracks, time played, all sorts of stuff to show off what you have accomplished.

the way i view it TF was awarded to those that gone above and beyond just playing the game
what you say about its just for marketing because they wouldn't have given me one in that case
as for youtube vids, i think some of them might have gotten it way to easy although i didn't watch them all but i suspect some have stopped posting vids already(if not they desirved it, or when they bring something else to the community)
its a shame some of the youtubers got forgotten while they desirved it way more than those good thing they have gotten a wrench now

tf for playtime might still be comming but you think its time for that yet?

Well... it was my idea. Intention was to note people who do just something extra for community and all of us players. Dunno what is scam there? Its openly said that people who do good stuff for all of us .. they are True fans.

It would actually be cool to have an award for the Biggest Trials Fan(boy) for each country...
