Secondly, I guess this is where we disagree. Sure Usain Bolt likes athletics, but I don't count him as a "fan" in the traditional sense because it's his job, he's being paid to do it. A true fan does it off their own back, purely out of love and dedication.
well i wasnt comparing them, someone else was.
and for the second part you kind of answered yourself; you cant compare them, because as you said, it is Usains career. but on the flipside, Trials is not AJs career... so he is a fan. A big enough fan of the game to practice, persist, dedicate and become the best in the world which is no easy feat. why should we only recognise people for being helpful fans, and not talented fans also?
i dont see why its frowned upon to recognise skill, in riding or building... you're not born with it, you earn it by putting time and effort into the game, which to me is what a True Fan should be doing.
dont take it the wrong way anyway mate, not trying to kick off about it... i just think this sort of stuff is worth discussing if members are allowed to nominate people
