Firstly, are we really comparing ChicagoAJ to Usain Bolt? I mean come on...

Secondly, I guess this is where we disagree. Sure Usain Bolt likes athletics, but I don't count him as a "fan" in the traditional sense because it's his job, he's being paid to do it. A true fan does it off their own back, purely out of love and dedication.

well i wasnt comparing them, someone else was.
and for the second part you kind of answered yourself; you cant compare them, because as you said, it is Usains career. but on the flipside, Trials is not AJs career... so he is a fan. A big enough fan of the game to practice, persist, dedicate and become the best in the world which is no easy feat. why should we only recognise people for being helpful fans, and not talented fans also?

i dont see why its frowned upon to recognise skill, in riding or building... you're not born with it, you earn it by putting time and effort into the game, which to me is what a True Fan should be doing.

dont take it the wrong way anyway mate, not trying to kick off about it... i just think this sort of stuff is worth discussing if members are allowed to nominate people

didn't the act of buying the game already implied they liked the game and they wanted to put time in it or that they atleast thought it would be good, and playing it alot is just the comformation?

a true fan on the other hand would promote the game to his friends etc and would do things for the community without even thinking about it, just mentioning evo would be enough to put a smile on his face for the rest of the day

I was giving an example of how skill is always rewarded in the real world guys, not comparing, it's a damn game at the end of the day! But even so, to be the best you need to also live for it, so that is a true fan. Lestropie earned true fan in T2 & He got it for just being at the top & why should they do double standards to everyone else! If the guy at the top don't get anything I just feel its rough thats all I'm saying. And if your going to just hand out TF for people who like the game then best just fill the top 1000 & the tag becomes worthless, anyways this is my last post on here I've quit the xbox anyways, so good luck guys & stop your god damn *****inggg haha o.j

Guys, I know some people who have the True fan achievement.. those are the REAL heros in this world, the people who REALLY deserved a metal. And as the coincidence wants it, there is actually a guy named "Godmil" (oldsk000l trials 2 playa) who actually RECORDED a FAULTLESS DIABLO run on tape. And while he was recording he got the True Fan achievement! Just at that moment RedLynx decided to honor that generous man.
