same here, i can use the editor for hours and not get a single crash, not to say it doesn't, but i tend to try and repeat said crash then learn to avoid the situation.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly
i do still on occasions have issues with TC, it buggy when i go to select a track when TC is taking longer than my patients to D/L the track thumbnails and other info and then back out to TC selection again as my patients gets stretched further and i get annoyed as it still not got the info so i can D/L said track, to which im presented with two tracks only, one in the top left of the screen the other just of the middle left edge that's overlaying another track which totally messes the game menu system and im forced to shut down as the guide button is now buggy.
however, im sure all these problems will be fixed
At least we've got a solution to one of the crashes. When you're inviting people to play online multiplayer, once everyone has joined, wait about 10 seconds before starting, and it should prevent their consoles from freezing. I've had 100% success with this technique.
I agree, this game is broken ! Just recently my global ranking has for some reason been lowered that much it looks like I have just brought the game ! I was ranked around the 3000 area and now its 837145 !?!? As much as I love playing this game I really cannot be bothered to put up with all the S**t that comes with it !Originally Posted by ratrod
That reminds me of another problem. Whenver I invite people to a multiplayer game, it doesn't let me start it. I have to back out and host it all over again several times just to get it to work.Originally Posted by nannerdw![]()
I've encountered this glitch before too. It only happened once but then again, I rarely host multiplayer matches.Originally Posted by James24993
Make sure noone is already in MP when you invite them, that normally tends to help prevent it I find.Originally Posted by James24993
Well I don't think I'll be going back into the editor any time soon asI can't even open the menu in my half finished track. Looks like that project and any others will have to wait til the game is patched.
I'm not putting in more work just to get stuck again.
strange never heard of this bug, do the devs already know it? alsoyou know what caused it?Originally Posted by EuphoricFusion
There are others on the Console Crash thread that have had the same issue.
I thought it was to do with large groups of objects but since ungrouping everything and going back last night it crashed again.
To be honest it's really shaken my faith. I don't even want to go into the editor now and start a project only for it to reach the same stage and be hit with the same bug.
I agree with the above but would like to stress that it is important for the dev to keep in contact with us peeps and not just say " were looking at it ", imo that one of the most frustrating answers you can get from anyone.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly
The Devs have a golden oppotunity imo to get the most from the peeps on this forum, in general we all want the same outcome - a game that works smoothly! Instead of taking ages trying to fix the prob, i dont know why they dont get some of the better players/hardcore tracks builders to run some tests for them, speed things up a bit for them, i sure they wouldnt mind? They are a small company what better way to get help, for free
Even if they took drastic measures and "reset" the game in order just to get TC working while they work on a proper fix! In a perfect world we`d all be patient, but were not in a perfect world, in the gaming world its all about holding youre attention and spending ure "time" on one game, patience on this game is wearing incredible thin and without communiction from the devs, u cant help feeling that all is lost
the crashing problem only happens to me when im online whether im creating a track or trying to beat times, this never happens when i am not "online". The issues are with the connectivity, i bet its to do with Tcp/ip 6 (or the Toredo client) tcp/ipv4 worked and it was stable, but i could not handle higher speeds, tcp/ipv6 works but is un-stable but it can handle higher speeds. These protocols in my experience cause so many problems online, the worst on EA servers, if youre router uses the tcp/ipv6 protocol, then i bet u get more crashes than others !!
