Hey there! I have another new track called Terraforming. A tough extreme hill climb set on a distant planet where a mining company has set up operations. Appreciate anyone taking the time to give it a go, thanks.
Sorry for the late reply, Barry. You're exactly right there. If even one person enjoys one of my tracks I'm happy.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly![]()
Hi all.
I have a new easy track called "Metro" that's loosely based on the fantastic Metro: Last Light game (and its predecessor Metro 2033).
It's tough to make a challenging/fun driving line when you have the vertical space constraints of a metro tunnel. Hopefully I've succeeded.
As always, thanks for playing. All feedback gratefully received.![]()
I just played it and played it quite a few times to hit it right.
I personally really enjoyed the track and thought the DL was really good.
5* from me.![]()
Not sure its an Easy, may be a Medium. There's also one spot with a small amount of lag, but I didnt find it hindered my riding at all. Everything else was awesome though! Really enjoyed this track and made sure to give it a RLP nomination. You've been very close to making a track this good for a while and it seems like you found a theme that inspired you and went mad with it. So we got an Icky line with an improved theme. Which is good for us, because we got a really cool track from it! Nice work!![]()
Oh, wow. Thank you, both of you. You've made my day with those comments.
I'd pretty much given up on track building but playing the Metro games inspired me to create something using that theme. Yeah, I think maybe I should have made it a medium. There's always something I wish I'd changed after I've released a track. I should have knocked 0.5-1.0 second off the plat time, for instance.
I know where you mean. I tried everything to get rid of that, but I couldn't do it without sacrificing something I wanted to remain in the track.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly

No problem. And for the record, I managed to get the plat so it cant be that hard! lol Seriously though, I felt I had to work just hard enough to get it without it being ridiculously hard. So I actually think the plat was perfectly fair. Remember, with the SP tracks there is far more leniency to the plat time for the harder tracks than for the easier tracks. So I think it was fine. As for the difficulty, its in the grey area between the two really, but the number of "gaps" where you could fault probably edges it into medium.
Still, I can find fault with practically any track! So I wouldnt worry about it, I'm just "that guy" that will point out any faults in the hope that its taken constructively and helps for the future. Its a stellar track and was a very easy 5* to give out.![]()
top track man..loved the depth and feel of the whole thing.5* from me, and a keeper track.
Thanks, Morfyboy. Glad you enjoyed it.![]()
Nice to get some positive feedback on here and in my Xbox messages after the crappy week I've had.
Incidentally, I just remembered that I had to take the word "apocalypse" out of the track description before it would let me publish. Weird.
the rock master uses no rocks . wtf. great little track m8 .nice line .enviroment .5* from me .
Haha, I realised that when I was nearly finished building it, so I hid a couple of rocks in the rubble pile at the end.Originally Posted by kidmpc![]()
