Newish Track:

Unfinished Train - Trials - Extreme

This is a track I was working on last winter around the holidays. I spent a ton of time on it but then let it go because I wasn't very happy with how it was turning out. I've tried to come back to it a few times but it just needed way too much work, I didn't have time for it. I decided recently that I spent so much time on it I should just put it out anyway so people can check it out. I quickly put together an ending and fixed a few really broken aspects then let it go. It's got some bad performance issues at spots and as I said I generally wasn't too happy with it, mostly the drive line and obstacles. All that said I still think it's kind of cool. It's already dropped from the feeds never even making the 48hr which was a little disappointing. Despite all it's flaws I still think it's better than a lot of the garbage in the feeds. If you take the time to check it out let me know what you think.

I haven't been around much lately. Just now seeing this post & video. Glad you like the track and thanks for the video. I took some captures of that track but never got around to doing anything with them. I'll add it to my playlist on YouTube.

I rated your track 5*. Had no performance issues worth noting either. It was on the 48hr section aswell i think. All in all. Fantastic track

Your train looked sweet,i didn't really like the train moving as it made the track a lot harder,i would have had the background moving instead but i gave it 5* just for the train

Thanks for the input but it is that way by design. In fact the background is moving, the actual track (train) is stationary. There is an area effector on the whole track that gets stronger when on top of the train. Riding on top of a speeding train would create a tremendous amount wind pushing against you. I wanted realism over an easy ride. initially i was creating it with no wind but it felt phoney to me. i know it's harder but that's because riding on top of a speeding train would be harder.

I'm happy you liked it otherwise though. I wasn't too happy with it but for other reasons. The only reason I released it was because I had already put so much time into it that it just seemed like a waste to leave it. Even just fixing it up enough to release as it was took me nearly a whole weekend. If I had done what i thought it needed I would have redone nearly the whole thing.
