Vegan Pacifist -Customs Thread- Newish Map -Unfinished Train

    Hi,

I will post here when I have new tracks available, newest tracks will be at the top of the list. I've now also been featured a few times on various web series, I'll post links to some of those videos as well.

    Web Video Appearences:
Achievement Hunter : Trials Files #58 - Achievement HORSE
    RedLynx TV - Season 2 - Episode 3 - Death Slide Xtreme
Achievement Hunter : Trials Evolution: Trials Files #31 - Death Slide Xtreme
Trials Evolution TuesdayS #20 - Death Slide Xtreme
Trials Evolution TuesdayS #19 - Fony Fun Slide
Trials Evolution TuesdayS #14 - Hyper Hadron Havok
Hatventures : Trials Evolution #28 - Giga, Please.

Unfinished Train - Trials - Extreme

This is a track I was working on last winter around the holidays. I spent a ton of time on it but then let it go because I wasn't very happy with how it was turning out. I've tried to come back to it a few times but it just needed way too much work, I didn't have time for it. I decided recently that I spent so much time on it I should just put it out anyway so people can check it out. I quickly put together an ending and fixed a few really broken aspects then let it go. It's got some bad performance issues at spots and as I said I generally wasn't too happy with it, mostly the drive line and obstacles. All that said I still think it's kind of cool. It's already dropped from the feeds never even making the 48hr which was a little disappointing. Despite all it's flaws I still think it's better than a lot of the garbage in the feeds. If you take the time to check it out let me know what you think.

Achievement HORSE - Trials - Hard

I've been watching some of the Achievement Hunter videos recently and noticed they play a lot of lame tracks so I thought I'd help them out and give 'em something nice. The track is based on their PIG videos but I went with HORSE instead because it allows for more fails and plus it's more fun, in PIG nobody can potentially end up a ho or a hor. Fail an obstacle 3 times and gain a letter. I rated it hard because to do it well requires somewhat advanced moves but it should be pretty easy for skilled riders. I was really torn about sharing this as a Trials Track VS a Skill Game, ultimately I went with Trials because I wanted the combined time & faults as my main scoring. There are also 3 "Achievements"
Bionic Commando: Find the secret area
Flame on: Finish the track on fire
Flawless Victory: Finish the track with no faults

Fony Fun Waterslide - Skill Game - Easy

I thought I was done with slides after the Death Slide but then I saw a really lazy track featured on TETS (episode 17) that was a waterslide so I had to respond with a waterslide of my own. The slide is themed after TETS. Collect coins and letters for points. Collect all the letters to spell "Mike B" for an alternate ending.
    Scoring Breakdown
Tires/Coins - the coins are worth 25 points each
Trophy - There is one hidden trophy worth 300 points.
Letters - Each letter is worth 350 points total. 250 when collected and an additional 100 when the letters are counted up at the end.

Death Slide Xtreme - Skill Game - Easy Now Available on RedLynx Picks Pure Fun!

You get five minutes to play on the slide. Take as many jumps as you want and quit anytime, your best score will be logged to the leaderboards when you choose to end or the time counter expires. Collect coins for points and power-ups to increase jumping abilities on subsequent jumps. Final score is points collected plus distance traveled.
    Scoring Breakdown
Tires/Coins - the coins are worth 25 points each
Trophy - There is one hidden trophy worth 100 points.
Distance - Distance score is 1 point per meter.

    8Bit Dude - Skill Game - Hard

The gameplay here is exactly the same as my other 8 bit themed track Eight Bitty Bit but this time going with a Big Lebowski theme. Some of the feedback I got from the first track was that it was too hard and not totally clear what the objectives were so I created this as a kind of introduction track to the gameplay. So this time around all the collectable items are clearly visible even if you just go for a speed run and the path to unlock with the key is marked with an "RB" if you have collected the key. The game is much easier but I still rated it hard because it was designed for the Phoenix. The scoring is basically the same as the other 8bit game but some minor differences so I'll repeat them.
    Scoring Breakdown
Green Buttons - Green buttons are used to activate objects in the world in order to progress. These buttons aren't worth any points.
Flips - Flips start out at 2500 points. That value is increased with every flip by 1125 points. Flips are the lowest scoring possibility but could still make the difference when the final score is calculated.Flips are much harder in this level because there aren't many places to get good enough air to do flips.
Tires/Coins - the coins (or yellow tires depending on your POV) are worth 10,000 points each with one special coin worth 50,000 (the special coin is clearly different from the rest)
Key - There is a key that can be found to open up an alternate path later in the level. Collecting the key is worth 50,000 points. Use the key by pressing RB when you are near the lock.
Blue Buttons - there is one blue button that activates a bowling animation. It is worth 100,000 points.
Lives - Bonus points are added at the end for each remaining life. 50,000 for the first life, 100,000 for the second, 200,000 for third and 300,000 for forth making the max bonus you can recieve for extra lives 650,000
Time - You get 5 minutes to complete the level, remaining time at the end adds points to your bonus. The time is visualized by a side bar and I'm bad at math so it's hard to state an exact point value per second but if I'm calculating this right it's 1,110 pts.
Multipliers - There are two 2x bonus multipliers in the level, collect both for a 4x multiplier. The multiplier affects the end of round bonus so (Lives Bonus + Time Bonus) x Multiplier = Total Bonus Score

Wall Rider. - Trials - Hard

This one is all about shadows. I played some tracks on track central that used shadows but is was always shadows of the rider and obstacles on a flat backdrop. I though it might be more interesting if you played as a shadow but the obstacles were real and the background had a little more variety. Parts of it came out nice but it's not my best work. A few parts are kind of difficult because you can't properly see the bike & rider. But it's short and more of an experiment so it is what it is. Alternate ending for Gold or Platinum run.

Hyper Hadron Havok - Skill Game - Hard

    Scoring Breakdown
Particles - The blue particles (tires) are worth 50 points.
Flips - Flips start out worth 100 points. That value is doubled every 3 flips.
Barrels - The first barrel is worth 1000 points and that value increases by 1000 points with each barrel. Barrels also increase the the time score multiplier by 1. There are 3 barrels released at 15 second intervals.

Eight Bitty Bit (beta) - Skill Game - Hard

Eight Bitty Bit screens by VeganPacifist, on Flickr
The idea of the game is a basic platformer. You get 3 lives to try and reach the end. It's pretty short and rated it hard. Score points by collecting tires, doing flips and activating buttons that interact with the giant 8 bit Mega Man in the background. There is one collectable key that can be used to open an alternate path with the press of the RB button, one hidden extra life and two hidden 2x bonus multipliers that will increase the bonus points you score at the end of the round for remaining lives and time. Getting a big score is all about getting a big end of round bonus.
    Scoring Breakdown

Flips - Flips start out at 2500 points. That value is increased with every flip by 1125 points. Flips are the lowest scoring possibility but could still make the difference when the final score is calculated.

Blue Buttons - there are two blue buttons that interact with the Mega Man in the background (nothing fancy, just makes him fire his blaster). These are the two highest scoring possibilities in the main portion of the game. The first button is 100,000 and the second is 150,000.
Lives - Bonus points are added at the end for each remaining life. 100,000 for the first life, 200,000 for the second, 300,000 for third and 400,000 for forth making the max bonus you can recieve for extra lives 1,000,000

From the feedback I've gotten so far it seems that maybe I made it a little too hard for a first level. To help out I made a video walkthrough showing how to get a good score. I'm also working on a much easier track using the same mechanics to kind of introduce the game and make it easier to know what you are supposed to do and look for. If it works out I might make a series, one moderate difficulty and one much harder as like a final boss.

Giga, Please. - Trials (giga) - Medium Now Available on RedLynx Picks Pure Trials!
I wanted to try out making a giga track. I liked the idea but every long track I played wasn't very good (including the one in the game). I'm not the hugest fan of the track but it's gotten the best response so far from the players so I must have done something right. There are 3 hidden crime scenes, finding all 3 in one run gets you an alternate ending. Since a few riders already posted a video of this track I decided to post a walkthrough showing how to find the 3 secret areas or "hidden crime scenes." Here's a video of the full track posted by Yeah im Awesome:

Mount Robby - Trials - Hard
This is my favorite of my tracks. It's got what I think is a really fun bouncy driving line with a real good flow if you can keep it going. Again finding 3 secret areas earns an alternate ending. There is also an alternate ending for getting a no fault run. 3 possible endings! It does have a few flaws, not fully optimized so a little lag in a few spots and one area where a building breaks apart and I wanted to have it stay broken if you had to restart from the checkpoint but I couldn't get it to work so if you crash you have to wait for the animation to happen again ( I've since discovered what the problem is but I don't want to fill my feed with multiple versions of the same track so I'm just going to leave it). morrillo posted a video of this one on his *Weekly Track Central picks & videos* thread.

Dude! Played both Giga, Please and Mount Robby last week and was super impressed! The level of detail in both was spectacular and I really think you put such a nice driving line together - respect!

Having tried a little track editing myself I imagine these tracks took a substantial amount of time and effort on your part so thanks very much and well done! Hope to see some more soon!

I love Giga, Please, the flow is extremely nice. I played your track on New Trials and rated it 5* you have me to blame for the Highest Rated of the Week. Just kidding.

That it was, my friend. On my days off the last few weeks I've been having marathon editor sessions, sometimes almost the entire day from when i wake up until i go to sleep. the only time i stopped was to eat (especially on that giga track, it took so much longer than I was expecting).

New Track - Hyper Hadron Havok

I'd played a few of these hamster wheel tracks but even though they were kind of fun they almost always were just really half assed tracks with little to effort put into them. I thought it might be fun if there was an actual game to it besides just survive for as long as you can so i added in points for flips and collecting items as well as time score multipliers that increase the score you get for every tick you keep it going. I was pleased with the results I had a lot of fun making it and I think it's pretty fun to play. I hope you agree.

Hyper Hadron Havok is fun. It's also featured in akamikeb's TETS. Apparently he loved it too.
