Sorry for complaining before posting an intro.
I've been playing since about day 120 or so, and have thoroughly enjoyed the game. I'm a 40-year-old voice actor, writer, and techie who has played video games almost since I could walk. I enjoy most genres of video games, but have been gravitating toward smartphone games since I bought the iPhone 4, because they're inexpensive (or free), don't take up much space, and showcase a wide variety of inventive and fun gameplay types (perhaps the most important reason).
I jump back and forth between being one of the most charming people you're likely to meet, and one of the toughest customers in the world. While I try to be nice to individuals, I am also an analyst at heart, and tend to be very unforgiving toward processes--and organizations--that don't seem to understand what they're doing.honestly should find a legal way to release recordings of my conversations with customer service people. Not that I dislike the people themselves; they're only doing what they're told. But in many cases, they work for morons, and we both know it. So I try to be nice to the person, but spare no punches toward the corporation.)
If you hang around the RedLynx forums long enough....you're going to see a very very different sort of atmosphere and unmentioned code of conduct here. RedLynx fans are a unique breed and a generally very dedicated, very smart and very mature audience. At least I think so.
You can understand why having someone that nobody knows, essentially kicking in the doors and starting to raise hell about things that have already been talked about in length wouldn't go over so well.
When something needs addressing....it typically gets posted in a thread quickly and addressed just as quickly by a developer or a moderator or someone within the RedLynx circle. That's one of the things that makes RL so different from other gaming companies and a reason why RL fans are so committed and loyal. So throwing jabs towards RedLynx in any way is going to go over like a fart in church. Just don't do it.
Speaking for myself only...but I imagine the RL community would probably agree with me....it"s always great to see new people contributing to the forums, so I am personally encouraging you to do so. We need passionate people to keep these forums alive and it sure would be a shame to do all this typing just to have you take off after only a couple days in the forums.![]()
Heya bruns... welcome to the forum. :wavey:
Yup... I hear you. I'm the same age as you and recently left the corporate/business world because I simply had enough of dealing with knob-ends seemingly incapable of forming a single rational thought. I realised after a couple of decades that the weren't going to change and I'd be damned if I was... so I ran away and am now hiding on the forest. At least a bunch of drug-addled hippies make more sense and are a lot more welcoming.Originally Posted by Brunsworks

No need to apologise... we're just a bunch of grumpy old men who get skeeeered when we see some new kids on the block.Originally Posted by Brunsworks![]()
