hi my names adam I am new to forums but not trials I have been playing for a while now but have never really got involved with this side of trials as in forums world records battleing for rankings I just played the game best I could.
I very Good with the editor and I am always uploading fresh Tracks at various Difficulties ( Plz download)
Since I came on here an read about all this I am lost !! and really need help
I am not rubbish I am a pretty good player but dont think I stack up 2 good against the rest of the world but I really wanna change this an start climbing the ranks I just need a bit of direction lol and to know what it is people actually work.
Do I just pick a track an keep at it till I am top an then fight for it ??
Do custom tracks count towards my world records count if I take 1st spot or is it just career tracks ??
Do my own custom tracks count to my WRC if I take top spot ??
What is the Best an easiest way I can track my progress an rankings??
I have placed in top 10 on several custom tracks some top 5...Is this something I should be keeping a track of ?? If so is there an easy way to do this or somewere online I can look at the leaderboards ??
My GT is i7z AdAm please feel free to add me an MSG me FEEDBACK about my tracks GOOD & BAD![]()

I wouldn't count custom tracks as world records, only single player.
You can always just check the global leaderboards/track leaderboards to see your times, as well as everyone else.
I wouldn't keep up with custom leaderboards too much, as they aren't very important whatsoever.
Also, welcome!
Okay well thats what I will do then. I really want to get involved more in the EVO community an realised the best way to do this was climbing the boards and getting noticed I can see now this is quite a task lol.
Is there a certain track or event that could help do this or help boost my score in anyway ??
thnx 4 reply![]()
Any single player track or tournament will raise your global rank. Skill games give you no points for global rank, so they are just for fun. There is a spreadsheet that someone made detailing what gives the most points. I'm not sure who has access to it, but someone might link it.Originally Posted by i7zadam

I will remember you when I am at the top haha![]()
I'm sure a lot of people won't agree, but I find it easiest to focus on one difficulty group at a time until I think there is almost no room for improvement within my current capabilities. I started out going through every track until I earned platinum on them all. I then went back to the beginner levels until I mastered them getting at least top 500 on the leaderboards on every one of them. I then moved onto easy and changed my target to top 750 on the leaderboards. I have just finished my target of top 1000 on all medium tracks and will be moving onto top 1000 on hard and extreme soon.
In a nutshell, even though you may be capable of 0 faulting every track on the game, don't rush yourself by going for top 100s on extreme tracks. Move up through the difficulties very slowly once you've earned all platinums then when you've been through every track on the game achieving your target. Repeat the process but increase your targets and you should find you have gone through quite a learning curve without realising and should be able to improve further.
In regards to picking one track and sticking at it, I think it's a great idea if you really believe you can push for top 10/100, dependant on your skill level, but don't make the mistake I did and spend so long on one level that you forget how to do just about every other level, to then only be pushed down the leaderboards and end up disappointed with the results.
Lastly, take a visit to the thread in these forums where you can add your gamertag for leaderboard rivalry. I don't think some of my ranks would be nearly as high as they are if I had no other similarly skilled players on my friends leaderboard to motivate me to improve my scores. I'll send you a friend request tomorrow![]()

Sounds reasonable to me when I awaken tomorrow I think I will get to work an make a start
I havent really ever spent that much time on single player beacause for last 5 years I religiously played COD an there the competion is all online so when I got a EVO with TC were THD dint have that I went straight online an TC after quickly completing the single player to get involved it seems that was the wrong idea an the competion is in single player...
I am sure I will get there eventually lol
Thanks.
Adam.
Feel free to add me as well, if you want. I don't compete too hard for single player tracks, or global rank, but i'm top 400 worldwide, and have all platinums in all tracks and tournaments.
I agree with above mate, just keep playin the single player tracks beat your scores & then start then again, noticed your from leeds im not far away im in bingley near bradford

If you're trying to get to the top of the Global Leaderboard, it's much more important to focus on 0 faults than your time. Once you get good at the track you can lower your time. The very top of the leaderboard will require 0 faults and great times. Above I have included a link to the spreadsheet InstantNews mentioned and a link to the creators threaddidn't make it). Enter your times and the number of faults for each track and you can see your score. The spreadsheet also has a column where you can enter "what if?" scenarios for each track to see how many point you would earn for lowering your faults or your time on a specific track.
Good Luck!
