I tried using the search engine, they're probably there, but I couldn't find a topic about it. I want to change the longitude of the sun from a certain point and then gradually increase it untill the finish. This is what I came up with so far.
CP trigger-> state event ON->trigger interval set at 1 tick interval-> OPE with object set as the weather condition event that stays with the driver. And I connected the value of the longitude to a curved data source
It think it has to do something with some object info data sources with the driving line, but I can't seem to get my head around it. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Just use an area condition effect to do it.
Yes, that's what I meant with weather change event. I didn't know what it was in english. But I want it to change from 200 to 350 depending on where the driver is from the checkpoint to the finish. How I set it up now the longitude changes depending on what I set as the duration in the curved data source.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly
You have a trigger to start your interval trigger for the OPE, but you haven't got one to start your data source, so it's starting straight away. This means by the time your rider has reached the point at which you want the sun to move, your curved data source has started and probably already ended.
Forget using the checkpoint to trigger the interval trigger, if your area affector sticks to your rider earlier it won't matter as it won't change.
Then, use the same checkpoint to trigger the curved data source instead.
Hope that helps.
No, delete all you have (save first). Now use an area condition thing to change the suns position and leave the setting to interprolate. Then it will keep the same settings as your map, but will move the sun. The movement will start at the edge of the effector and finish in the middle of it.
You dont need to get that complicated, you can just use an area condition effect to move it.Originally Posted by JaminBen007
Yes but he needs to have the sun move gradually over the remainder of the track, if you don't move the Area Effector as soon as the rider leaves the bubble the settings will return to what they were before.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly
You just make the area effector the size you require. So it runs from the "starting point" and the middle of it is at the end of the track.Originally Posted by JaminBen007
That can cause massive lag, and doesn't work if the driving line curves.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly
I've used it before and had no lag issues. And it depends how much of a curve there is. A shrp curve and a short distance would be an issue, but a long distance and a gentle curve isnt.Originally Posted by JaminBen007
